I've read the books, and I have to say I enjoy the series immensely anyway. You do lose a lot of explanation and detail from the books, but GRRM is so insane about that kind of thing that I think he could stand a little paring down. Yes, the series is very different from the books in some places, but IMO it doesn't suffer at all because of it. Except for there being no Strong Belwas, now THAT is a great problem in my opinion!

I have heard nothing but great stuff about this show. Never watched it but just got netflix and hope to start catching up. I did not read the details of your post LOL no spoilers baby!

Hi Sandy,
I posted that this story had me wanting to stress eat. It's just sad all around and I think what makes it worst is the not knowing. We may never know, my heart goes out to the families.

The pinger is still active? I guess the information I saw about it being out of battery life was incorrect, then. If the pinger can last just a little longer, then, the wreckage might be found. Whether it's salvageable or not will be another question, I guess.
