I love this show. I haven't decided if I like the Talking Dead. Its kind of like having an artist explain their canvas. Sometimes it's obvious and sometimes you don't want an explanation, you just want to enjoy what is.
I've seen it a couple of times. The episode in the Amazon where they were being eaten alive by mosquitoes at night freaked me out. The next day the woman was talking about how her vagina was burning or something like that. ...? I would have lasted 30 seconds there.

Not sure I'd have been able to get back on the road after that, how did you manage not taking a day off? Congrats!

I've only been on one, from UK to NYC, not sure if it even counts. I think I would not choose, or advise anyone go on the Queen Mary 2.
Better to buy round trip plane tickets and spend the difference on a nice destination.
I am so unbelievably happy..the man I love asked me to marry him today..and it was the best, wackiest proposal, ever 
We live a few hours apart and I went to visit him this weekend. I inadvertently left my makeup case at his house and he jumped in the car to bring it to me.. I told him I would pick it up next time I drove out to see him..he wasn't having it..he chased me for 70 miles to a Love's gas station to give it to me. The makeup case was just an excuse though, he had been trying to screw up his nerve to ask me to marry him all weekend long..
So there we were in the parking lot of Love's (!!) gas station, and he pulls out a ring and asks me to marry him..we are laughing and crying and kissing, people are gawking at us..it was crazy and romantic and the best day ever.
I said YAAASS!!!!
ETA: I showed this thread to my fiancé and he was incredibly touched by such warm responses. He also learned that I used to weigh 274 lbs and said not a word. He's a keeper!!

For the book people, did the show get any better? I kind of wish I had read the books after the series ended instead of a year or two before it began.
I'm sure it would be an awesome series if I hadn't been comparing the two >.>
I WENT to my girlfriends house, we don't have cable, and watched it... LOVE IT!!!
OH! excellent! Two years ago, when I was living in MT, before I moved to OR I belonged to a running club that had a BAck of the Pack sub-club and I always knew about the races! I walk them, I am really OK with that although I am so looking forward to running again.
