finally progressing :)

did my shrink appointment last wednesday and thurs got a call from ottawa that im booked for the sept 5th and 6th for class and to see the surgeon ,,almost there ,,from what i have been reading my surgeon's appt is where i get my optifast right? then hopefully surgery a few weeks later :)

Woohooo!  Yes the surgeon gets you to sign the consent form, gives you a prescription for Optifast and you bring it to the front desk.  Lana will call you afterwards (for me it was the next morning), to give you your surgery date and when to start Optifast.

thank you Judy :) yes im getting excited been a long 15 months waiting ,,i gather i need to take it for 3 weeks because im 346 pounds ,,hopefully i can start the opti very shortly after i get it :)

Congrats!  I had my class yesterday and I see the surgeon on Sept 6th as well.  Maybe we will have surgery around the same time.  Best of luck, and I will be thinking about you.

I have my f/u on Monday with the Dieitician and I am told my next steps are class and suregon appt.  Can't wait.  Glad to see people are progressing in Ottawa!

That's awesome. Seems like surgeries are booked a month after you see the surgeon so surgery by Thanksgiving :)

 My name is crystal I'm in Toronto 33 . I got my referral done in may on june 20 2912 I got a call to attend an orientation on June 23. 2012 whi*****luded the nutrition group. I didn't hear anything untill I called July to find out my status for my appoints they said ooh can you come in 2 days to meet the dr I said sure then on sept 25 I have my social worker dietitian and I meet with the nurse. Then what lol. This process for me has been very quick. I'm glad because I want to continue on my journey and be healthy. I have 5 kids 19 16 15 13 and 11 and a 1 year old grand son and husband to live for. That's my journey so fare
