Good morning :)
DH and the little nugget survived bedtime last night and she woke up with a smile, so I guess everyone had a good night. I had fun painting -- the time flew by. A funny thing happened -- I sat in a booth waiting for my friend and two other ladies came and sat on the other side. One kind of seemed familiar but I thought she just reminded me of someone. My friend showed up and started talking to her -- she knew her. I was like, what's going on...?? Lol. It turns out we all worked together like a million years ago and she was my sort-of supervisor at my summer job in college.
Today we are meeting a friend while DH has an interview and then going to get groceries. My fridge and freezer are a disaster right now. I have the half cow in the freezer, so no room for anything else... And when cheese was on sale we bought like 20 blocks... But I don't have any milk or veggies. Basically DH said we can make cheese-anything, but nothing else lol.
QOTD: cleaning!! Specifically someone to keep on top of the dog hair and clean the bathrooms. I sweep the living room floor about 3-4 times a day right now because the little nugget is just about crawling and she is always covered in dog hair. I hate it.
Post-op four years and one month.
Breakfast - protein bar
Snack - PB and banana
Lunch - cheese lol
Snack - pepperettes, carrots
Dinner - possibly roast beef
Snack - pudding
All water and vits.
Good morning Menu Lovelies. This morning I'm hitting the gym, then meeting a friend for swank coffee/tea at a very upscale place. You might pay slightly more for your coffee, but the ambiance is well worth it. Later today I'm going swimming, then more paperwork. If I won LottoMax, I would hire an assistant just to do my paperwork.
Accountability: On plan with eating and exercise
QOTD: If you won the lottery, what chore would you have your assistant/helper do?

S. Iced Protein shake after the gym
L. Half of a chicken breast/bacon,cheese bun

Have a great day everyone.

I lost a lot of hair as well. Being lucky enough to have thick hair it's not noticeable to anyone else but it is definitely much thinner then previously.
I lost a lot of hair. I had medium length thick wavy hair and you really can't tell visually, but it is much thinner. I was a year out in March and I have a lot of 2 inch regrowth right now. Keeping the length has helped me feel like myself, I hate my hair short so I think that would have been very hard to cut it all off. But what a amazing thing you are thinking of doing!

This has been brought up numerous times in the various sessions with people on the Bariatric team. It seem an inevitable side effect. I won't lie, worried about extent and breadth of hair loss. Anyone who has experienced this, I would love to hear from you about how this impacted you and whether it was catastrophic, minor or simply not too bad. It's not, obviously, a make or break thing, but I have long, thick hair so if I start losing a LOT, then I would prefer before it reaches a no going back point, to cut it off and send it to Angel Hair for Kids (which my daughter and I have both contributed to before). At this juncture, I could give them a very long, thick braid - it would be a shame to lose all the hair for nothing. Thoughts on hair loss, friends? I will admit, I have an emotional attachment to my hair and it would be hard to lose it at this point, but as I said, if it is going to be lost, I would prefer to act sooner and let someone benefit from it!
Good morning all. Work, work and more work.. still super busy. CC make sure you post the recipe for that shrimp once you try it at home.

Good morning :)
I haven't been posting but I've been trying to read the boards lately. Usually it's too late in the day when I think to post. This morning we went swimming so that was fun. I'm doing a paint nite tonight with my friend. This is the first time I'm leaving DH with the little nugget for so long and he will have to do bedtime. I wish I could be a fly on the wall.
QOTD: we have a budget but I haven't updated it in about four months. It is on my to do list for sure.
Post-op four years and one month.
Breakfast - protein bar
Snack - bread and PB
Lunch - something at Boston pizza
Snack - tbd
Dinner - probably BP leftovers
Snack - pudding
All water and vits.
Hey there....been MIA for a bit. My Trucker leaves tonight after work for a canoe trip in Parry Sound and won't be home until monday. I'm a little concerned about the flooding up there but I'm sure he'll be safe.
Went back a re-run on the bloodwork so we'll see how that turns out. I'm not too concerned about it.
B - 2 scrambled eggs with a cheese slice
S - greek yogurt cup
L - TBD meeting a friend and I'm not sure what I'm in the mood for
S - cheese stick, pepperette
D - spinach salad with chicken, strawberries, blueberries and goat cheese with poppyseed dressing (I had made this for my lunch but forgot I was going out)
Looking forward to a few days for just me and the doggies.
Good morning everyone. DH and I had a fun night out last night. The shrimp Caprese was really good with great stats. I would make this at home.
Today I'm going swimming, and to the gym. Later I have to pay some bills, yuck.
QOTD: Do you make up a budget, or do you wing it? I used to budget, but have gotten away from it and it's something I need to get back to.
Accountability: Good. I got my exercise in, and the eating was on plan with the exception of a small meat stick last night before bed. Not perfect but good.
The eats today at 4 years 9 months post-op are:
B. Buckets of decaf
S. Iced protein coffee at the gym
L. Grilled chicken breast with bacon and cheese on top, a little spicy mayo and served in an UnBun. Those buns are so filling that I can't eat a whole one even though they are small. Usually I eat half of the sandwich
S. Small salad if I feel hungry.
D. Grilled chicken breast with a little gravy, homemade LC stuffing, 1/2 cup of broccoli. It's cold and rainy here and I'm looking for comfort food that has good numbers.
Have a great day everyone.

Thanks for the craving WIP. Now I want Swiss Chalet, lol. Maybe this weekend.
