Good morning Gang! It was strangely quiet at the gym this morning - like I was the only one in the change room quiet!! I guess everyone is tired!! LOL
Not much on the go today - I'm back in the gym routine (sort of) now I just got to get back in the eating routine....maybe tomorrow!! ![]()
3 yrs out
B - turkey kielbasa sandwich
S - skyr, small scoop of egg salad - real small - my Trucker can only put so much on his sandwich and then leaves like a tbsp
put it in your damn sandwich, its not enough for me to make a snack out of
L - chicken burger with a lettuce bun
S - protein bar maybe
D - I saw some leftover cabbage roll soup in the fridge this morning so I'll probably clean that up
Have a good day my menu friends.
It has been 13 months since my vsg and I have lost 130 lbs. Now at random times about 30 minutes after eating or drinking I get pain on both sides. It starts out very minimal and I can feel it getting worse as if it is moving out growing. It can be hard to breath sometimes while the pain is there and lying on my stomach helps. After about anywhere from 10 to 60 minutes it will slowly go away and I can feeling it moving down and then just stop. Had anyone had this experience? Could it be gas or backed up? Maybe lacking something or not enough of something? It has only started recently

When I first met with my surgeon, I basically just asked him if I could have the sleeve instead. He asked me why, I gave him my reasons, and he agreed. He said given my starting weight, I could expect the same result with either surgery anyway, and he was comfortable doing both.
Of course it landed PB side down, lol. I'm sure the pup loves cleaning up after the Little Nugget. She's finger licking good. It's a symbiotic relationship that will last for many years (when no one is looking she will throw things under the table - that's what I did with my dog).

Those are some aggressive cardinals. I have never seen that, but have seen them looking at themselves in the sideview mirrors of the car.

Sending you hugs on the anniversary of your Dad's passing. Mine drives me crazy, but I am so grateful he is still in my life.

Hello my friends. For those of you who are 3 plus years out, what was your starting weight? Your current weight? How did you manage to keep your weight off? Do your exercise? What's your support system?
Detailed answers would be appreciated and do NOT apologize for long posts. I'm looking forward to hearing from everyone, but Diminishing Dawn, H.A.L.A.B. (I think) and Grim Something or other (the man) would be great as well. Oh and someone named Karen. And of course all of our other wise veterans.
By the way, if you're on the other extreme and have regained, what was your starting, surgery, current weights? Please share your journey and tell us what caused you limited success.
Wishing everyone what amounts to their own definition of success.

Good afternoon :)
Not much happening today. Just stuff around the house. Gave the little nugget toast with peanut butter and she threw it all on the floor. The dogs loved that lol.
QOTD: I love birds -- outside ones. Birdsong is nice. We don't have many birds around here. When puppy 1 was little she somehow got ahold of a bird in our yard. I had to rescue it and put it up in a tree where it was safe. I like to believe that it survived and flew away.
Post-op four years and one month.
Breakfast - nut bar
Snack - protein bar
Lunch - smoked meat sandwich
Snack - apple and PB
Dinner - BBQ chicken
Snack - pudding
All water and vits.
It certainly does. I will visit my doctor and be on top of this. Thanks for planting the seed :)

Good morning all. Glad to see everyone back after a nice few days off. Now lots of catch up at work so I'm keeping this brief!
QOTD: I'd say I enjoy most birdsong but I have cursed at 5 a.m. on a Saturday when they chirped non-stop outside my window. My pair of cardinals is back this year and the male continues to bash his head off my picture window.... last year he hit one so hard it cracked so I'll be replacing that one sometime this summer.
B - greek yogurt
