I am scheduled for a LBL and BL tomorrow morning with Dr. Joseph Michaels in D.C. I have to be there at 5:30am and surgery is scheduled for 7:30am and should last 11 hours.
I live in NY so we had a long drive down yesterday. Today I went and got a DEXA scan so I'd have one done right before surgery. My body fat percentage is 19% total and 17% in my trunk/abdomen so it was nice to see I'm ready from a weight stand point for surgery.
My husband I had lunch at Jaleo (an amazing Spanish restaurant) and now we're at the hotel. The nerves are really starting to kick in now that all the things we had planned are out of the way except for surgery. 24 hours from now will be very different!

I took out a loan against my 401k, so now I'm paying myself back. Absolutely worth it for the results I've received.

There are two other surgeons not yet mentioned that are well-regarded for bariatric plastic surgery are Timothy Katzen and Peter Fisher. Fisher did a few gals that I know and they look fabulous. Be sure to check out the personal stories posted on RealSelf from people who had LBLs with all of these plastic surgeons.
I had a lower body lift with pubic lift, fleur de lis, outer thigh lipo, fat grafting and butt lift. She quotes 10 k for all that with everything included meds, docs, food, hospital stay, after care recovery house, follow up, 24/7 nurses. I have pictures on real self and BariatricPal pal. For some reason this forum is difficult to post pics to. Too much trouble for me lol. Just search dr Cardenas on those sites and you'll find my reviews. Lots more pics.
My facial plastic surgeon took Care Credit interest free for an entire year.
