Have any of you gals used the Parent's Choice Brand of formula. I checked the nutritional values vs. Enfamil and the most important things are the same. It is way less expensive. Let me know what you opinions are please and/or if you had any issues. Thanks.

All formula must meet strict guidelines to even be on the shelves. Parent's Choice uses Enfamil as their template for nutritional values instead of Similac or Nestle.  They are virtually identical. We use Target's house brand, and it's made by the same people who do Wal-Mart's.. Daniel has no problems with it at all.. and can switch between Enfamil and the house brand without any issues.

I supplement breastfeeding with Enfamil, but my cousin who had her baby 4 days before me said that she tried both and the only thing she noticed is that the parent's choice gives her baby more gas than enfamil.  She said you could even notice that when mixing it, you could see more bubbles in the parent's choice than the enfamil.  I would see if it makes a difference in your baby.

My pediatrician does not recommend using generic formula.  He said the manufactures do not have a proven track record like Enfamil and Similac.  He also does not like Good Start b/c they paid to get approvals.  I do not know how true all that is but I trust him and he has taken good care of my kids so I just go with Enfamil and Similac.

God Bless! Jen

I only supplemented with formula for about three weeks before my son refused ALL formula, but during that time he liked GoodStart best. We tried a generic version, and had the same problem with gas as someone else mentioned. You really could see the difference when you mixed it.

I used PC with both my kids off and on during their infancy. WE had no problems whatsoever, even with a reflux baby. However, do know it isn't as fine as the name brands so it requires more mixing. Other than that, perfect. We also used Maker's Mark (I think that is the name), its the generic from Sam's club and will be using it again this time. SO much more for your money. i mean, really, SOOOO Much more.
