FRIDAY TTC POST (who is makin a baby?)
Hi ladies. Sorry this is gonna be short and sweet and late in the day. It is my little girls first birthday and hubby stayed home from work...busy, busy!
Today is 10dpo and someone said it would be cool if I got a bfp on Emmas birthday, but no such luck on a dollar tree test. I wasn't expecting a bfp anyway with my wacky cycle this month. Feeling kinda crampy.
How are my girls doing? I don't think I will have too much time to post to everyone this weekend, but I will be sure to read up. Here is the list...let me know if there are adds or changes. And baby dust to all!! Shari

Sorry about your BFN. I am 3 DPO today. Will be starting injects again in 2 cycles unless we have a hail mary. Had stitch type pain in my cervix this last night and this morning. It was really quite disturbing. It obviously means nothing this early, but strange. Will start prometrium tonight.

I don't know what is wrong with me!! AF was due on Tuesday, it's not Friday, and there is NO SIGN of her. I've tested twice, both BFN. I don't get it. AF has only been this late once - when I was pregnant with Ethan! Hubby thinks maybe all the preg tests were defective, but I got the line in the control window. I don't feel pregnant, but I really didn't the last time I was. And I don't feel menstral. I'm wacked.
Good luck to everyone else!

Happy Birthday Emma! I am sure she had a great one! Nick will be one in a few weeks... I am so sad about it, but excited too ...I've got most of the party stuff ordered already hahaha
I'm on CD 10. AF FINALLY showed after a 51 day cycle. I hate long wacky cycles! I started temping and will probably start opks in a week or so. DH thinks I should just let nature take its course and not stress over temping and opks and whatknot...I say whatever. I like knowing what is going on with my body especially since my cycles are out of wack! I do have tilted uterus which my doc said could hinder conceiving...but I conceived Nick..so I don't think that is going to be much of an issue. I'm just taking one day at a time :-)
Good luck to everyone! Happy BDing to all ;-)

Shari - sorry about the BFN...maybe next month...which would be just in time to have the best Christmas present ever for your DH and Emma this year.
I'm sorry I haven't had a chance to answer your other post from last week...things have been busy at work and at home this week. Hopefully I remember your questions and give you the answers here?
I went in for my u/s this morning to check the uterine lining - today's 12dpo - and it only measures slightly over 5 mm. The dr said it shoudl be 8-10 mm...and that that could be all or part of the problem. He reviewed the blood work I had done in the U.S., and he said that though the dr there had tested for something related to lupus, he didn't test for lupus itself (something called ANA?) and he wanted to test for a few other blood clotting things - Protein C and Protein S and something else - so he took the blood for that. I go back on 2/9/2009 to once again check the thickness of the uterus lining on 21do, and probably do a progesterone test. He also said the progesterone had a big normal sized folicle - 20+, which he said is very good, but that the uterine lining thickness isn't matching the 'maturity' level of the folicle.
down the road.I asked him about something I've read about called 'natural killer cells,' and he said that that is something they have to test at 21dpo, and no one in Indonesia is qualified to do it...that I'd have to do that in Singapore, too...so that may entail a 2nd trip at a later date if I need to have it done. If that came back positive, then the 'treatment' would be steroids for the first three months or so....but we'll see what the other tests come back as before deciding if I need to do that.
I have never had the 6dpo progesterone test, nor any others progesterone tests, so I don't know what's 'normal' for me, but he said the thin lining could very well be the problem...and if it's confirmed that there's nothing else going on, then he'll put me on estrogen for the two weeks from the beginning of AF, then on progesterone starting two weeks after AF until I get a BFP...and if no BFP, then start it again.
He also told me to double the baby aspirin - take 2 rather than 1...and I'll also start Lovenox/Heparin...I just need to find out if that would be at the two weeks past AF that I started it, or only once I get a BFP. I personally say at the two weeks past AF, because the first mc I had was only a week and a half after AF was due...which means there's not a lot of time from when I find out I'm pg until the problems start. I'll also start the progesterone mid-cycle too. I'll be like a little drug addict...needles, pills, plus all my vitamins...but worth it if I can stay pg!
I am taking a 'mini-vacation' to Singapore on 2/18-21/09, and have an appointment to see an endocrynologist there...the dr here (who's an Indonesian feritility specialist) wants me to see one to have them check more on the thyroid and anything else they can think of to test. I believe you had asked in your response to me last week if I was seeing an RE...I'm not...there isn't one in Jakarta. If I have to start seeing one, I'd have to fly to Singapore, but I assume I'd have to go during specific times of the month for different tests? I don't mind - it's only 1 1/2 hours flying, and right now they're having a 'special' on the tickets, so it's about $175 r/t...and I could go early in the morning and come back at night...I just have to find out if it's necessary.
Anyways...that said....depending on what the next u/s says, and the results of the blood work he's doing and the endocryologyst in Singapore (I don't know if they're a reproductive endo or just an endo...my American dr here referred me to one, who saw my records of what I'm coming for and referred me to another...so it could be an RE they're sending me to?)....I may be ready to try again in March.
Good luck to everyone out there.

Holly, the lupus test...did they do a test for the lupus coagulant...or anti-cardiolipid antibody? ANA is for the anti-nuclear antibody...it is the test that shows whether or not your body will attack itself when something foreign is the body. I have both and have also had mis-carriages...PM me if you want more information. I have had lupus (diagnosed with it for almost 5 years) but had the symptoms for many many years...let me know, I might be able to help you out!! GOOD LUCK!
