F*#% blue dye tests!!

DON'T use Target blue dye tests, Up and Up brand.  I had heard bad things about Target brand blue dye tests, a different store brand.  If you missed my one post, about 3 weeks ago DH and I had a condom mishap...  Lately I've been crampy with a lot of headaches.  I decided to test yesterday...note- I do not want to be pregnant, Sage is only 11 weeks, BUT if I was it would be ok....

I bought a 2 pack of these tests, BOTH came up positive in the matter of a minute or two... yesterday I was beside myself with worry thinking I was pregnant.  I wasn't sad because of another baby, I was sad thinking I wouldn't be able to spend the first year of my baby's life focusing on her.

Thank goodness DH was doubtful..  He went out and bought 2 EPT digital tests, the same ones I took last year when I was only 9 DPO so I knew they were very sensitive.  I took one last night and one this morning with FMU, both negative.

I know a lot of ladies are TTC here, if I had taken this when I wanted to be pregnant I would have been VERY upset to learn I wasn't.  These effin things need to be pulled of the shelf!!!!!!!

OMG i would call or write the company that's awful!! I mean that would kill me to think I was pregnant and wasn't!!! Urrrr!!! I thought you were going to be pregnant!I was reading this soooo fast to see I'M PREGNANT! Sorry you went through all that BS!!

omg at having a scare so early out.
I know i too have heard of the blue dye tests being known for false positives. Will u be testing again with different tests? just to make sure its the target tests that were wrong and not the digital ones?

I would have been pissed off!!! That is messed up.

that happened when we were ttc molly and both came up positve i even showed them to other people I started my period the next day. i stay away from blue dye tests! 

im glad i didnt use these test. i work at target but i need something thats gonna give me a true answer as best as possiable. i used first response and they worked good.

Men have peed on various brands of blue dye tests and according to the tests, were pregnant.  ANY blue dye test, regardless of brand is considered extremely unreliable in the TTC world.  Stay far, far away!

Um, I don't wanna scare you. I took FRER's and a few other tests that were all positive. The only ones that didn't come up were EPT's. Try another brand just to make sure.

I took EPT tests twice and they were both negative... and then... pregnant!!! I would take another one, just in case. I heard you will never test a false positive but will in fact test a false negative so be careful. 

 

have a blood test taken to be 100% sure
