I've been on an antidepressant since my RNY last year.  My question is has anyone that started one because of the surgery continued to take them during pregnancy?  We've been trying for 4 months now and so far no luck so we have an appt. with the OB next month and I plan to ask her about it but thought it might be nice to here what everyone here had to say on the subject as well.

I was on Cymbalta but had to stop cause they made me sick. I was told I would have to stop at week 30 when I was on them. I do know I could take Lexipro until week 36 and then be evaluated to see if I should stay on it until after the baby is born.

My friend was on prozac her whole pregnancy with her son. I've also heard you can take zoloft while pregnant.

I'm asking my OB about an antidepressant tomorrow. I've needed to be on them since I quit taking them 6 years ago. =(

I am on 40mlg of prozac daily, since before summer. We only tried for 2 months to get pregnant. I dont think it affects fertility.

I was taing celexa for the last 2 years since my surgery adn they took me right off it the minute they said I was pregnant. However..I really needed it so they tried wellbutrin..didn't work, so now they have me on zoloft and it is working!

You can take Zoloft throughout pregnancy & while breastfeeding. I LOVE my Zoloft !!! : )

I will as about the Zoloft, because I need something.  I've stopped taking the Celexa so that at my appt. I will be able to start whatever they decide to give me right away.  I've been on something on and off since I was a teen but have yet to try Zoloft.  maybe I'll get lucky and they will put my DH on it too...lol

Am currently taking Welbutrin, I was on Cymbalta and Seroquil as well as Staterra. I stopped all but the Staterra (can't function without it) and as of yet I haven't noticed much difference in  my depression...have only been on it for about a week though.

I have had to be on meds since 1992 I have severe anxiety, depression, and have ADD...I took myself off my meds as soon as I found out I was pregnant but my doctor put me back on two of them so I just keep praying baby will be okay and that the doc knows best....

I was on Geodon and Effexor and once I found out I was pregnant, my psych put me on the lowest possible dose of Prozac (10 mg) and it hasn't done **** for me. I miss my Effexor :(

I started wellbutrin 3 days ago and as you can see I'm 23 weeks pregnant. I waited untill all the crucial development had taken place, and just pray baby will be ok =)
