LABOR: Did your water break or did it start with contractions?

I got to have the fun of having my water break at work. I got up to leave a meeting not 5 minutes after discussing how, since I was due any day, I needed to go ahead start handing off my work to my coworkers. Of course I had joked all along that, since I had a desk job, I was just going to keep working until my water broke.

I was induced and my water broken my the MD after hours of contractions but I did have my bloody show a week before and had some serious contractions the next day. I waited at home for a few hours to ensure it was the 2 mins apart for so long ect.. and by the time I was like.. yep ..lets take a shower and go..they stopped.

I was induced, water broken by the doc, and a csection followed. This time, I'll be having a repeat csection.

I had been having contractions for 2 weeks off and off. About the last four days of that were pretty steady off and and on. I was going twice a weeks for NST's and ultrasounds. I was having contractions just not enough. I had lost my mucus plus about a week before I was induced. I was incuded at 37 weeks 1 day with cervidel (already a 1cm) and contractions on a Monday at 5pm. Tuesday morning at 7am they started pitocin. At 9 AM the doctor broke my water - GROSS!!! She had to change her scrubs. At 6 PM my doctor said "Traci, we have to do a c-section". Aiden was born at 6:54 PM.

When we got to the hospital, I was dialated to 10 and 100% efaced and they had to break my water...boy, did that feel good! Gage was here three pushes later!

1) Waters broke went to hospital 3hrs later. Asked if I had pain nope I didn't they checked me 0 dilated but I was having contractions according to the monitor. Had 2 sleeping tablets, woke up 1hr later pushing, ran to the toilet and MW came in was fully 10cm.

2) Induction, gave me the gel at 4cm broke my waters and started the drip.

3) Was just about to get the gel and heard a pop. Went to the toilet and my waters had broke. Went from 0 to 5cm in less than 3 min. Because I couldn't feel pain and the monitor didn't pick up my contractions they add pic to my labour.

4) I was induced again due to baby passing away.I was at a friends when the meds kicked in. Contractions first, thought I had a UTI. Left their place was driving to home or hospital ( which ever one I could make it to first) about 2min away from home heard a pop. Waters broke while driving, so it wasn't a UTI.

5) I woke up with some pains. Timed them 11min 30sec apar****ched them for awhile. Went to the hospital still wasn't closer until DH left to get our DD. It seems when you have a the s%&^s with someone it can stall your labour. Once DH was gone I went to 5min apart. My waters did not brake until they were partly out with Eliana's head. The MW refused to brake my waters.

I had pretty strong BH contractions for 2 days before hand, then they stopped on friday, saturday I felt great. Saturday night I was asleep in bed and heard my water break - sound wierd but I heard it. About 20 minutes later the contractions started. This was about 1:30 in the morning, she was born at 11:21am.
