Congrats on your little one! I had a similar c-section story (induction often ends in C-section) . A very helpful nurse advised me to wear bicycle shorts (tight spandex shorts) under my nightgown/day dresses to keep my belly from hanging too much. Really did the trick for me! Good luck with your recovery.

I had a c section last October and they gave me this large white ace bandage like thing to wrap around me. It helped support my belly skin and it didn't pull so much. Hope your recovery goes better!
Well i had all my babies early but my 2nd was the one i carried the longest at 37wks water broke 18hr labor pushed 2hr the c-section. My first was 35.5wks water broke and labored for almost 24hrs and pushed out in 5min. My 3rd was 36wks 6hr labor and 10min pushing. All three were healthy happy babies and went home at regular times (first had to pass carseat test prior to release due to prematurity). Also, on a side note there is 5yrs between #2 and #3 which was WAAAYYY easier than the 3yrs between 1 and 2 so don't sweat it too much it's not that bad.
Good Luck

Thanks for your response Windowsdown. I am so sorry for your losses. I can't even imagine. I hope my first cycle works. It would be a great late birthday for me. However if it doesn't work then I won't be able to do the IUI next month because I will be on vacation. Its a bummer. All this waiting, hoping and praying. IUI has such low success rates I wonder do a lot of people get pregnant after the first round? Blowing a little baby dust to all of us.
Alia was at 39 weeks and 3 hours of labor!!!
Fingers crossed for you!
I had my first IUI with Colmid and a trigger shot in June. I had three eggs one about a 22 and the other two was 19. DF had about 13million in sperm post wa****hink the motility was in the high 80's...can't remember. Unfortunately, It didn't work.
I didn't do 2nd cycle in July for two reasons....I was going on vacation during my fertile week and after my 3 day blood test my dr told me my FSH level was very high and she suggested IVF cause my chances with IUI would be the same as BD'ing less than 5%!
So right now I'm re-grouping. We don't have the 10,000 it would cost for IVF and my insurance doesn't cover it...only IUI. As always I'm leaving it up to GOD but the news of a high FSH was not good. I've been pregnant twice before but I miscarried both times.
Hey,
My RE did tell me to start on some prenatal vitamins. She also gave me a list of what I couldn't eat such as certain types of fish, unpasteurized cheeses, only one 8oz cup of caffeine a day and a list of other things. I don't have my list with me. If I go to the doctor then I have to tell them that I may be pregnant.. She said I can only take Tylenol. She also said I needed to take a pregnancy test in 2 weeks if its positive to come in for a blood test and if its negative to call them so we can discuss what I want to do for next month.
First off, relax!
I got pregnant 6 months after my sleeve with my second baby, and I'm currently 6 weeks pregnant with my third (just about 3 years post op now). My labs have always been great, and I've never changed my vitamin routine, pregnant, nursing, or in between, it is always the same. I take two target brand flintstones every morning. In the afternoon, I take calcium, and recently I've added an occasional iron in the evening. When I first got pregnant I compared my two chewables with prenatals, and found that I was already getting more of everything important than what the prenatals had in them. Also, because they're chewable, we're more likely to digest them fully since they spend less time in our little tummy. I asked my OB about just continuing as I was, and he said it was fine. I never had additional labs done while pregnant, but had them checked just after having my son, and again while nursing, my levels stayed fine. As for the eating, we don't need to do anything drastic like double your calories. In the beginning, if you're not feeling well, just eat what you can. In the second and third trimesters, just add about 300-500 calories to your normal intake. If you go with random numbers like 2300 calories a day (which assumes a "normal" intake of 2000 plus 300 for baby) you're probably going to end up with a lot of extra weight to lose in the end. Of course, if the baby is not growing on target, then the numbers may need some tweaking. Overall, I just add an extra snack or so (which I'm hungry for anyway) and things went fine. Hope this helps.
Good luck with the IUI!
