My poor cousin lost soooo many babies including her final set of twins - one at 3 months and the other at 5 months. She was adopted and was not aware of a genetic clotting issue that terminated all of her pregnancies. Her last pregnancy she was finally treated with blood thinners and went on to have a healthy baby girl. She was 43 at the time and had no WLS. All pregnancies are different.
It is suggested that WLS post-ops wait until at least 18 or 24 months before TTC, But there are many people here who have had oops much earlier and went on to have healthy pregnancies. I myself would not have chanced it and especially with a malabsorptive proceedure. Stuff happens though ready or not and you just do the best you can and when you get another chance you do better - like for you, make sure you have no deficiancies starting out. All Best, Layla
Well, glad you got an answer. This is what happened to me in February, I KNEW I was pregnant, had all the symptoms, but the day I was going to take a test I ended up getting my period. The following month was when I confirmed pregnancy only to start bleeding and mc a few days later. Even though I'm pretty sure I lost babies both months, I definitely preferred not knowing for sure in February! Glad you didn't get a positive test and then start bleeding! Either way, it has been enough to have me on pins and needles with this pregnancy. Can't wait for my doctors appointment next week, I'm hoping to get an early ultrasound to put my mind at ease a bit.
Anyway, for now, enjoy that little man of yours!!
