Topic: RE: Pregnancy After Sleeve

I got pregnant about one year after my sleeve. With TWINS! I gained 50 pounds. After delivery checkup was at 30 lbs down. Freaking out a little because my sleeve feels different and I have just a little restriction. We'll see how loing it takes to get off the rest,

I am excited to a point it has been a very hard and painful pregnancy I have only gained 5 pounds and am having a hard time keeping those 5 pounds on

I am at the point now where I just want to hold him in my arms so I can physically feel better for the last week or so I have spent so much time laying on my side on the couch because that is the only time I don't feel like I am going to pass out he is pressing on my aorta causing me to pass out repeatedly if I am standing or laying on my back

At the same time I don't feel like I am ready for him to come out yet his room still has boxes in it from my move his furniture isn't being delivered until july 12 just lots of little things

Thank you :) I am much older and unfortunately a Diabetic Type 2. Did they put you on any meds for your Insulin Resistance? How was your A1C during the process? With ICSI I don't think I will need to have that step as hubbies swimmers are A-Okay & don't suffer severe sperm dysfunction, it's me that has the fertility issues. I am trying to get down to 180 (about 10-11lbs to lose before August) Was there any part of the process that you found difficult/painful and just needed to rest I guess leading upto ET?

I was 27 when I went thru IVF and was 180 lbs....I was and still am very insulin resistant but still holding on that I'm not diabetic (yet)....I did produce ALOT of eggs...the day of my retrieval, I could barely sit upright bc my ovaries were so huge and filled with eggs...my RE did the ICSI procedure on my eggs and husbands swimmers..have that done if u get a chance! 2 days later, I was ready for implantation (8 matured into embryos, and two of those were implanted in me 😄...seriously no question is too intrusive..ask away if u think of anymore!

Hi Smittyjen! awwww congrats on your two beautiful babies through IVF! I do have a couple of questions and I hope they are not to intrusive? May I ask what your age was when you under went IVF? Did you produce a lot of eggs due to Ovulation Stimulation meds (I Heard PCOS patients have a higher amount of eggs) What weight were you when you had IVF? Do you have Glucose issues either before or during pregnancy?

Thank you so much!

Hey! Well I haven't had WLS yet, but I have had IVF.....I was about 50 lbs overweight at the time and had horrible PCOS....my first attempt with IVF was a sucess....boy/girl twins!  Let me tell you, best decision I've ever made...I have 2 beautiful angels...now its time for me to lose this weight not just for me, but for those angels!

Let me know if you have anymore specifics about the process!

Topic: RE: Let's talk about Clomid
I started at 50mg and it was not effective. Once bumped to 100mg is was effective in helping me produce follicles but even after 3 cycles I did not get pregnant. Side effects: I was lucky...or unlucky in the fact that I had NONE except for extreme dryness....I mean extreme desert dryness. It made my cervical mucus hostile to sperm. So while I produced follicles the sperm couldn't survive to get to it. Talk about aggravating. We used preseed to help bit it didn't. We even used a trigger shot and progesterone to give me every chance at catching and keeping a bean. So after 3 failed clomid attempts we have decided to move to Fremara which I just started yesterday. So far so good. Praying this med works better. For some ppl clomid is a miracle baby producer, but that wasn't so for me. Praying that the med is kind to you and helps you get a miracle...or 2 ;) Best wishes!
