Hello!
I am 5 years out of RNY - the only vitamin my doctor had me taking was a multi -vitamin and monitored my labs over the first year post op. Everything was always in normal range, thus I never took anything more. Since about 2 years post -op, my doctors practice broke up and everyone scattered to different practices. When I went in for a checkup to the new place, I was told that I was considered a "new" patient, thus my insurance would not pay because it was not the same insurance from when I had the actual surgery. I never went back.
I have had physicals since then, as well as routine paps, and because of my history, a full blood screen has always been done. No problems have ever shown, except for low iron, which I had pre-op.
I am now 5 weeks pregnant, and I want to MAKE SURE my baby gets everything it needs. Can anyone recommend what vitamins besides a prenatal I should be taking? I can't get into see a doctor for 4 more weeks. I may have not been taking the best care of myself (I have lost and kept off the weight) but I DO NOT want my baby to suffer in anyway. It's not just me anymore.
Please do not criticize me for my past faults, Thanks!
I guess one of the perks of a "quick" labor is no chance for your make up to run! LOL
Thank You! We are so in love, including Emad....who is a very protective big brother.
Thank you Mary.
I just returned from my follow-up appointment after the D&C. The doctor was very optimistic and said the chances of a miscarriage go from 1 in 5 women (who have one) to 1 in 25 who have more than one. She encouraged me to try again whenever I'm ready. My partner is definitely ready to try again. I'm a bit more...hesitant. I really don't want to go through that stress again.

My largest fear is that my baby is breech! I was hoping for a natural delivery but my OB is not interested in that as an option! She is more of the we will schedule your C-section, then hope that baby will turn and we won't need that! Uh
It must be the time for growth scans. I had mine yesterday and my little one was estimated to weigh 3 lbs 13 oz. I'm 30 weeks so that puts her in the 75 percentile. I know the measurements can be off, but I'm still happy considering I just had gastric bypass this past September. She's doing a great job of being a leech, thank goodness :)
