I'm so sorry for your loss. I had a similar experience. About a year and a half after the RNY I got pregnant and at 7 weeks the baby was measuring 5.5 weeks and had a heartbeat about 75 or 80... and the RE said it didn't look too good, but sometimes they implant late etc... a week later there was no heartbeat. I also had a D/C.
I tried again (and was 42 now) a couple months later and gave birth to my son a month after I turned 43.
I don't think the surgery had anything to do with it at all... One thing i did was start using an accupuncturist who worked with my doctor - so she focused on getting the uterine blood flow to its optimal point... I had a normal and healthy pregnancy and a healthy little boy who is a true blessing.
I hope you have the same happy ending...
Oh my gosh - We have similar stories... I had surgery 6 years ago... had 2 pregnancies (one miscarriage and one successful) and my son just turned 3 in April. I was 305 pre surgery and 142 when I got pregnant. Gave birth at 190 and lost about 15 but then put it back on and topped at 222. I lost 7 pounds last week (by guess what - eating protein and carbs via mostly veggies and working out)...
Not sure if my 7 pounds a week will hold, but i'm working on shrinking my pouch back. I found that when pregnant - especially with a boy - I was hungry all the time... and that wasn't good for my head and my food issues. As a single mom i've had lots of trouble finding time to run and exercise like I did before pregnancy - but it's amazing when i just decided to FIND the time... I did.
And I also cut the 2 glasses of wine at night too... I eat more than I should - so I think that's my problem. I'm not sure why you aren't losing if you aren't eating more than a 3 year old - But hormones certainly could be part of it... ???
I'm hoping that makes the difference for me!
I had my growth scan today and my LO is in the 7th percentile I am according to my ob 36 weeks 4 days they are guessing he is 5 pounds 5 ounces
I know he is going to be small and am prepared for it but I can understand being shocked and worried I hope it all works out for you

Yeah! awesome! I bet that make you feel better and can relax a bit more! :).

I also had threatened miscarriage noted on paperwork and chart with my 1st pregnancy. When I asked the staff about it they advised it was because of the spotting I had and also due to low progesterone levels at beginning of pregnancy. This coding also allowed for them to do the additional ultrasounds needed to track the pregnancy and progress and bill insurance. Otherwise insurance would not want to pay as typically you only get 2-3 ultrasounds a pregnancy.
Did you call and have someone explain to you why they put that? I am curious to see what they say about it since no one explained that to you! My progesterone was very low when they drew my labs at 6 weeks. I had to do progesterone suppository for 6weeks...are they going to have you take anything like that to bring it up at all? Hope things are progressing well for you! I would have been scared to read that without any explanation. Are they going to give you another ultrasound at all?
