Hello Cilvilmomma! Thanks for your response. I thought I responded to your post but I'm not seeing it. I just wanted to thank you for taking the time to respond. I was cleared after six months of low HCG levels with no rises. My OB tries her best to keep a watchful eye on me and ensure me this pregnancy is progressing fine. I guess it's just my over active mind. Thanks again sweetie.
Hello emmalyn!
Thanks for your response. I may of worded it wrong. Sorry. My surgeon told me that the prenatal vitamins (non chewable and gel+wax coating) were a complete waste because my body can't absorb the vitamins. Congrats on your pregnancy. I wish you a happy, healthy and smooth delivery.
Sorry for your loss. I find it strange your surgeon told you taking prenatals was a waste. My surgeon was happy I was taking mine, he does labs every three months and my levels have been perfect. I am 37 weeks and this pregnancy has been amazing. I wish you a happy healthy pregnancy.

I continued my vitamins and added a prenatal I got from Walmart. My surgeon does labs every three weeks and my levels have been perfect.

Hello ladies!
Quick question. How did your surgeons respond to your news of being pregnant so soon after surgery? No judgment here, strictly curious. I am almost 5 months post op and dying to get on the baby bandwagon but I worry about my surgeons reaction to the news among other things.
Hello ladies,
Once you found out you were pregnant did you continue your daily vitamin regimen or did you have to start taking a specific prenatal vitamin(s)?
Not currently pregnant, my surgeon would kill me I'm sure! Just wanting to do some research beforehand. Very anxious to start trying though!

Thanks so much Civilmomma for the response! I spoke with my dietician recently and he didn't advice me about any eating suggestions. My surgeon told me she expects to see me gain about 15 pounds. My Lab results had some low numbers so I think they're just too concerned with those to talk about my nutrition. I will try contacting the dietician today. Thanks again sweetie.
Typical pregnants should eat about 2000-2500 calories a day.
That being said, if you are still overweight/obese, you wouldn't need to push that as much.
My WLS clinic and OB gave me guidelines of 75g+ protein a day, reasonable amount of carbs, plenty of dark green veg for iron too. I have kept my calories around 1500 per day. I am still obese, so for my body it is ok to lose a little weight/not gain while pregnant.
I really think you should see your dietician for some guidelines while pregnant.

Congratulations on your pregnancy!
I'm so sorry about your prior loss. from what I know, molar pregnancies have nothing to do with your vitamins. They are just horrible things that happen on their own. Nothing you can do to prevent them. Usually you have to wait a long time to get pregnant again after a molar - so be sure your OB is monitoring you well now to see that everything is developing as it should.
You should have your vitamin levels drawn to make sure you are not deficient on anything. and be sure to stay on top of the vitamins, extra folic, and lots of protein!
A visit with a dietician might ease your mind too.
I hope you have a good experience this time and a nice happy healthy baby later this year!

I got pregnant at 5.5m post op. Now I am 31 weeks and doing great.
I lost 100, got pregnant, lost 20 more, and have re-gained about 10 of those. It is looking like I will deliver at the weight I was at 5.5m post op. That's fine by me. This baby is tracking big, so once it is out, I should be well on my way back to my lowest weight and lower in no time at all.
the nausea was rough this time, but seems to be subsiding finally.
This baby #3 for me. my first 2 were at my HW with delivery weight being 370. Now I am in the 230s and it is a totally different experience.
