Topic: Long overdue Update!!!

Hello everyone!!! Its been so long that I haven't been on the forum or updated. I had my twins at 38 weeks on the dot and February 24th 2013. Damian and Luka were born at 5lbs 13 ounces and 5 lbs 1 ounce, healthy and happy My little loves. . .they just turned one year old on February 24th and they are so so smart and advanced I can't believe it sometimes how truly blessed we are. Luka started walking at 10 months old and Damian was right there at 11 months! Luka is already showing signs of being "potty trainable" he tells me when he does poopy. . he says "ca ca. . .ca ca!!" During my pregnancy I gained 45 pounds in total. . .the c-section went very quick and smoothly and the recovery went just as fast! I was back to work when the boys were 2 months old.. . .unfortunately our finances became very very tight paying for the babysitting and  our vehicle kept acting up so we decided to move from New York back to Florida. . .we moved back in with my Mother and father in law and I am now a stay at home mommy which I absolutely love love love! Just when I thought that things couldn't get any better, they did. . . .I am currently 33 weeks pregnant with ANOTHER set of twins, YES ANOTHER SET of TWINS!!!! Both boys again. The beginning of the pregnancy was very hard. . .I had so much morning sickness all day long that I lost the rest of the 20 pounds that I gained with the first pregnancy and then some!! I think I must have lost another 10 or 15 pounds more on top of the 20 but thankfully in my second trimester everything settled and I'm good now. . .I think I've gained about 30 pounds I'm not sure, but I'm not as worried about it in this pregnancy as I was in the first since I saw first hand how very easy it was to lose the weight post pregnancy.

In other news I just had my 4 year Surgiversary on March 2nd. . .I still can't believe its been 4 years already and I have maintained my weight loss. . .I am very proud of that and i still say that having the RNY was the best decision that I could have ever made for myself. One scary thing, I will be turning 30 next week. . .eeek I'm getting old. . .lol! But I love my life. . .I love my family and I couldn't be happier so everything is well. I hope all you ladies are doing well, and if anyone has any post op pregnancy questions don't hesisate to ask me. . .I'm here to help and happy to answer any questions you may have!

Oh I am right there with you!  I am currently 28 weeks and I am just 2 years post op on the 19th of March.  I was almost to my goal when I found out and I was a bit heart broken (not gonna lie.)  Every ounce I gain I am terrified that I am stuck with that number on the scale.  I hate gaining and it does do a number on your mind.  I am still very active and watch what I eat 80% of the time.  I mean let's be real, we do have cravings.  We can do this....right?  I am on Myfitness pal tracking and you can friend me there for more support.  LadyG0915

Topic: Update

I'm 39 weeks with my second post op baby (3rd overall). This has been my easiest pregnancy yet. I've had absolutely no issues except some slightly low iron, and low blood sugar.  An extra vitamin and keeping snacks in my purse have been all I've needed to manage things. At 33 weeks my son got norovirus and I ended up with it, that was the worst!! I don't deal well with puking anyway, but this was the first time I've ever thrown up with my "new" tummy (I'm over 3 years post op). It was awful!!  I thought for sure the intensity of heaving would break my water, but luckily it passed quickly and baby was fine. Now we're just waiting to meet baby!  Hopefully not today though since we're in the middle of a blizzard!

It is a real mind game!  With my first post op pregnancy, I only gained about 18 lbs. With this one, I started ten lbs lighter than last time and currently weigh more than I did when I delivered last time. So, I've gained over 30 lbs. Weirdly I still look good and it seems like all belly. Not sure how things will pan out after the baby is born, but I'm trying really hard not to freak out!  I've had moments of panic, but just have to remind myself my sleeve will still work after baby and I'll get back where I was. Congrats, and good luck.

I have some skin above and below my belly button. The stuff above has smoothed out nicely and I have a great basketball belly. The stuff below dangles a bit, but I just tuck that in to my pants, lol. In the beginning a shaping tank or belly band helped keep everything looking nice and smooth.

I got pregnant 6 months after my sleeve surgery. No issues or extra monitoring needed. I'm sure you'll do great, congrats!  I'm currently expecting my second post op baby any day, I'm 3 years out from surgery.
