I am still learning my way around the site after the new format was installed. I finally found the pregnancy forum - yay!
I just found out that I am 5 weeks pregnant tomorrow is 6. I am six months post op with a total loss of 117 lbs.
Unexpected. We tried to conceive for 8 years and gave up about a year and a half ago.
Very grateful for our upcoming arrival but also a little sad that it happened now - only 6 months post op.
Any other's in a similar time frame? Did you keep losing first trimester? Just trying to get an idea of what to expect. The curve of weight gain for prgnancy for my height and bmi says I should not gain more than 15 lbs. I imagine I could keep steady the whole time and leave that 15 for the third trimester when the baby actually finally adds weight in the last 4-6 weeks.
Thank you Windows Down. I am still in shock and so is my husband. Excited but shocked and feeling really blessed right now.
I am so happy for you and the cramping is normal I had a lot of cramping with my son and he turned out perfect :) I start clomid next month to try for baby #2 so I got my fingers crossed.
HBP can be hard on you and the baby both I would let them go ahead and induce you yeah the pitocin (sp?) they use really sucks but it is well worth it and you can still have the baby natural so long as there is no complications. Congrats on the baby :) I start clomid next month and hope he helps me again with baby number 2.
Yaaaaaaaaaay! I love hearing this from the TTC ladies on this board (we tend to stay pretty quiet esp lately) But I know you had been trying for a while and was getting discouraged.! This absolutely warms my heart and I'm soooo happy for you and your hubby. Here's to a healthy and very happy 9 months.
******update****** I went to take my blood pregnancy test this morning. I just call a call from the nurse and she confirmed that I am indeed pregnant. She stated my numbers are 930 which is right where they are suppose to be and she wants to see them increased by 2/3rds on Friday (what ever that means). So I have to go back on Friday morning for another blood test to make sure my numbers are multiplying like they should. I am excited and numb at the same time. WOW I can't believe it.
