Congratulations! How awesome that it happened on its own the month that you "took off" from all the interventions! Dollar tree or doctor's office, a positive is a positive! Cramping is usually completely normal, especially with a first pregnancy as your uterus is growing and stretching to make room for the new inhabitant. I've had 4 pregnancies, and the only one that didn't have cramping in the early weeks was the one that I lost, so I'd say it is a good sign. Hope all goes well with the doctor and that you have an easy healthy pregnancy. Congrats, again!

I just found out 6 months post -op I am pregnant. Today is my birthday too - what a present! I'm a little scared because it is too soon after surgery. I see my doctor on Friday and today will call my surgeon. I don't have a current OB - my youngest is 13.5 years old! Very nervous about everything with a ton of questions. Trying to stay calm but I woke up at 3 a.m. and that's when I tested and I haven't been to sleep again yet. I'm wide awake like it's Christmas morning!
I know you posted this awhile ago but I had a lower body lift....in essence a more intense tummy tuck. I'm 39 weeks pregnant, no unusual pains...nothing more than some occasional stretching that I would expect any pregnant woman to have. If you click on my blog link I've been making updates on youtube. There are a few other women who've also posted their results of pregnancy after TT. I have not gotten any new stretch marks expect in the past week I am starting to think if I go much longer I may get some as I started noticing some extremely faint/very small purple marks that were not there before on the very top of my abdomen below my chest. His big booty sits there and I think that it is stretching it lol.

Even when I was obese my blood pressure was always in a good range. In fact it often ran on the low side of normal - 90/60. Since around week 34 in pregnancy I've been having high blood pressure 130's - 140's / 80's - 90's. Overall it appears the medical community is unsure why 10% of women develop HBP in pregnancy but a few articles I read suggested it was higher in women who previously had PCOS....
I'm 39 weeks tomorrow and they are talking about inducing me soon because of it. I really wanted 100% natural but in the end it sounds like HBP can be pretty bad mainly for mom, but also for baby.
Curious to know if anyone else experienced this and how everything turned out (pregnancy, labor/delivery, your health after, babies health after)?

Yay! I am 5 weeks 6 days today. I have had mild cramping on and off no spotting so I figured it is normal. I had a loss in July so every little thing I feel i keep track of. No morning sickness for me yet and I am counting my lucky starts and trying not to worry until my 8 week appt.
Hi welcome. I am 20 months post op VSG and never went on birth control or used any form to prevent pregnancy mostly because I had been TTC for years before having the surgery. I had talked it through with my dr and he said I have to tell you 1-2 years but have we cared for patients who got pregnant 6 months post op and had healthy babies yes ma'ma.
For me if it happened early great and I would work closely with the Dr. Unfortunately for me it took a while to get pregnant even after surgery and weight loss. I feel your body will know when its ready. Sure I though I would be pregnant sooner, but im just happy to be pregnant now! Good luck and I hope you get the blessing of a baby when you are ready!
Yay!! Congrats. I just found out I was pregnant 10/28/13. I have been doing blood work 2x a week just to ease my mind until I have my first u/s. Thats very exciting. Heres to a happy and healthy 9 months.
