Topic: What's on your Thursday Menu?

Good Friday-eve gang. Very frustrated with the state of CT. Apparently, everything is subject to taxation even an antique tractor from the 30's that is only used as a lawn decoration with potted flowers. We got a letter from the town assessor stating that they were informed we had unregistered or out of state registered vehicles on the property. When I called to question the letter, I was told the blight officer reported to the assessor we have tractors, box truck bodies, bobcat, backhoe, and that none of our vehicles are registered in CT. That last part is a lie since all 4 of our vehicles have CT license plates and I get a motor vehicle tax bill every year.

The assessor said I have to send her a list of what we have. So even though the box truck bodies are used for storage and are on the ground they are to be taxed. The backhoe and bobcat that we have had for over 30 years are to be taxed. Literally every dam thing is to be taxed. I'm ready to move out of this Democratic run state and go to a Red state like West Virgina. Sorry for the rant I'm just stressed.

QOTD: If you could live in any US state which one would you pick? Me right now anyone that is not run by Democrats. I know people say Republicans are only out to help the rich, but when looking at the states that DO NOT have personal property taxes (which is 25 states) all but 6 of them are Republican run.

B: coffee

L: ham, cheese, pickle wraps

Have a great day everyone!!!

Its 2 in the afternoon ... day has been Very frustrating . DMV was less than impressed w my unstamped foreign passport and Social Security card offering- gotta ask a favor from Hungarian embassy mebbe this afternoon.

No meds, little energy - probably thats part of the problem and the endless days of travel and work with nothing to show for it .

Grrrr....Otherwise its a beautiful crispy/ warm in the sun fall day. 4 appointments including one w new agent for targeted apt. Would LOVE to have new passport 2 apply with but have to take a lot of steps 2 obtain that .

Good mornin all.

busy day for me ahead. Sam's and grocery's. I have to think about what I can get that'll last for over a month. I have 80 dollars to use for it. I need to think about it and be smart about it. Maybe some beans and such. Soup makings. Since I am on disability I get automatic help with groceries. There is no telling when I'll get em again.

we' e been getting rid of a whole lots of stuff we don't use anymore. Esp kitchen stuff.

I found a really nice chair at the Salvation Army thrift store. It was only 30 bucks...not a thing wrong with it. Now I just need a foot stool and I'll be set in my bedroom. Just need to organize it.

QOTD: my goal is to fix my room up before I have to have surgery. There is no telling when that'll happen though.

food is unplanned. All I had for breakfast was an egg burrito.

MEME DUMP!!

Happy Hump Day Gang!!! The weekend is almost here. We have the COO of the company will be stopping by to visit the plant. I don't think she's ever been here at least not that I remember. Not much else going on today.

I've been picking through stuff at home to either sell or set out this weekend for free. Just need to get rid of stuff that I haven't used in years and don't plan on it.

QOTD: What goals are you working towards now? I'm currently working on getting the house organized and cleaned out. Still can't believe all the stuff you can collect over the years.

B: coffee and protein shake

L: leftover pot roast

D: grilled pork steaks and peas

Hitting the Y for some weight training and treadmill time.

I hope you all have a fantastic Wednesday!!!!

My Great Aunt Helen once gifted me with her very old black and ( handpainted) gold Singer sewing machine - the first electric ( not pumping foot pedal powered ) model.

These were very valuable when originally sold around the turn of the century or a bit later.

We kept her in the family and my Dad actually reupholstered the living room furniture and their yachts' benches and seaberths with her as well ...now theyre making machines able to do fancy stitches but I doubt they sew as strong and straight as that old grrl.

guilty snacks - bites of tiramisu, bite of payday bar . bits of whole foods cookies

l- chicken / mushroom stewish soup

s- hummus , pickled onions, peperoncini , cabbage crunch salad from whole foods

d- milky decaf latte w booze

saw three apartments - still favor others. Tomorrow starts the re-application process !

I saw a great idea for a tv series ... no.. I mean a Physical location.

Anything commercial's bound 2 b expensive... can I stand being homeless more - living " above the store " if you will ?

Answer's NO .

The semi- homeless rootless state is for someone thirty years my junior . But I want 2 do it - KNOW its a great idea and location .

Ill follow up anyway .. ask questions .

Did you hear about the Amazon-related outage yesterday? It affected many of the various apps they own, I suspect that Nutritionix is one of them. It is back up running just fine today.

Rodeos: I've been to three small town style ones and they were fun, nothing gruesome. Now the Vegas type? I went to one in Montana that was a wannabe and while it was suspenseful it was too loud with too many people for my taste. Lots of waiting around for the riders to get ready and the bull to get ready. None of the riders got seriously injured, thank goodness and no calves or sheep either. The bulls walked away looking rather satisfied with themselves, lol.

B: coffee and my frozen choc/protein/collagen shake

L: still sipping the shake

D: still sipping the shake but plan to have some of my home canned spaghetti/meat sauce with 3 meatballs and Shiratake noodles

Trying to do better abou****er, I've been so cold I haven't had what I should. Trying to just drink warm water.

Sewing finally, catching up on mending and re-sizing clothes. It was a trip trying to get my mom's old F-word serger going. The only times she ever swore at all was the Big Holy Mother word in dealing with her Kitchenaid refrigerator and her Bernina serger which she finally gave up on and gifted to me. I think it is possessed.

You and I would have been besties as little girls! My mom was incredibly supportive of a creative mind and supplied all kinds of sewing and crafting goodies to keep little fingers busy. She sewed beautiful Barbie clothes (which I still have) and I made hats and jewelry for Barbie (I had one real Barbie, one fake-out plus a Francine who had a compound fracture I was forever bandaging, lol). Egg carton bottoms made great hats and purses and the bottom was a great base for Barbie's bed.

Your Granny sounds like my maternal grandma. How lovely that you and she had such a close bond. I'm sorry you lost her so early. My grandma was nicely fluffy and forever on T.O.P.S. which was a glorified recipe swap, I swear. My paternal grandma died when I was 3 or 4 from prescribed amphetamines for weight loss. It worked but Dad speculated it ruined her heart. She was just in her 50's.

'Attitudinous wanna be serial killer' lol...my mom would have loved you. She wasn't very chatty but she was all about correct and creative language. Our home was filled with funny phrases, I miss that so much.
