Good mornin y'all.

The pain clinic appointment was a bust. They always disappoint. The pain is just annoying. Also saw my case manager at the mental health clinic. It was nice to vent. I am really stressed out right now. Blargh times a million.

today is a thrift store day. We also have to drop off a load to them as my mom is cleaning out her closets. I am planning to clean a bit too on my room.

We've decided not to keep momma. We tried to introduce her to the others and it didn't go well. It's not fair to keep her in my room. I love her so so much but it'd be selfish to keep her,

QOTD: pain, since I can't take NSAIDs the pain is horrible. Tylenol is pretty much worthless for arthritis. I regret the surgery for that. I had to try though. Depression is bad right now so that may explain my answer! LOL

B: small piece of banana bread and a piece of cheese

L: small salad

D: eggs, green chili sausage...maybe made into a burrito with

momma

Topic: Finally Friday's Menu

Woo Hoo Friday is here and the weather is just perfect. The weekend is supposed to be Fall like. We are going to the Mystic Garlic Festival tomorrow morning and then I'm not sure what else we will be doing this weekend.

Today at work we are having a retirement party for one of the guys and then at the end of December we will be having another one. Should be a rather quiet day only other thing I have to do is help a co-worker sign up for FMLA.

QOTD: What is one thing you struggle with since having WLS? I still struggle with food at times. Not all the time, but there are definitely days that I let the stupid head hunger take over. Then I eat something that I know is not going to agree with me and have almost instant regret. I do wish I had better control over that.

B: coffee and breakfast wrap

L: jersey mikes that's what Phil wanted for his retirement lunch

D: we might be going out for dinner after football practice.

No Y tonight.

Have a great day and weekend gang!!!

So glad the sinus surgery went well and the removal of stitches and such.

That's awesome on the weight loss. The Contrave is that injections or pills? Did your PCP prescribe it? I think when I go back in November to the medical weight loss program I'm going to see about something different. What I've been on for the last year and half seems to not be working as well as it was in the beginning no matter what I do even if I fast for a couple of days. I'm stuck at a 30lb loss, but still have 50 to go.

Those are so beautiful. I love the ones with the red and green stones in them.

Good mornin y'all.

Still not feeling great. Sick and tired of being sick and tired.

i have two appointments today. I am going to have to talk to the pain clinic about getting of the T4's and just trying the codeine. I read an article by Sanja Gupta that said Tylenol is not good for nerve pain, that it can make it worse. It'll be an uphill battle. The other is just with my case manager at the mental health clinic.

good luck about the house to Irvin's son!

QOTD: true self would be a regular ol jackass or a baby pigmie hippo. Ha ha. In reality it's something like a dog with anxiety issues.

B: hard boiled eggs, sausage and cheese...coffee

L: no clue

D: thin crust pizza (spinach Alfredo).

Happy Friday-Eve Gang. Yesterday was super busy with trucks, but it flew by. When I got home we went over to the estate sale that was around the corner from us and I got a couple of blouses, a nice bedspread and a few odds and ends things for Irvin for a total of $20. They had a bunch of stuff, but I don't need anymore nick nacks or houseware things. We chatted with the owners and the house will be up for sale potentially in October. It would be perfect for Irvin's son Bob who is looking for a bigger one with some land and this one is over 1500sq ft and on almost 3 acres. The zone like ours is AG-2. Him and his wife are approved for over 500K and his current house is paid off which he would rent out.

QOTD: If you had a spirit animal what would it be? Mine would be a honey badger. LOL They seem to fit me well.

B: ice coffee and 2 hard boiled eggs with mustard

L: steak tips in gravy

D: Leftovers

Hitting the Y after getting a couple of things done at the house. So glad they are open until 9pm.

Have a great day everyone!!

Hi, Happy Wednesday! Glad you found that dead rat...that couldn't have been healthy to breathe. Your crisp days and possible rain sounds so cozy. Autumn is the best season but goes by too quickly. It lasts about a month then brown, dreary days till January. We do get a skiff around Thanksgiving and feel Christmassy but our Dec. 25th is usually gray and dry lol. But January starts the snow season. The internet prognosticators think we'll get below average snowfall next year. We'll see.

Yesterday's stitches, cast, splints etc. removal appointment was painful, wonderful and tiring, surprisingly. There was a good bit of rota-rootering the sinuses and I was worthless the rest of the day. It did lay to rest one of my lifelong fantasies: a suction machine to clear my sinuses during a head cold. Yeah, i won't wish for THAT ever again. LOL

QOTD: No tv for me, my entertainment is YT videos and I've been on a sewing video jag lately. So, I'd be in a sewing room and maybe one with a longarm quilting machine. Better than a zombie show to me.

B: coffee and 2 T sf choc/caramel Coffee Mate that I need to finish up

L: my protein/collagen chocolate shake

D: the other half of the Amylu's chicken patty from last night, cucumber Sunomono (made SF) and a big portion of sauteed zucchini.

LS: the same thing I planned (but didn't eat) last night 1 c nonfat Greek yogurt with vanilla and artificial sweetener. Haven't met my protein goals the last week and always mean to eat yogurt to bump it up but usually don't want anything else in the evening.

This morning's excitement...the scale. Today: 176.6 which makes a total of 51.8# lost. Four months on the generic of Contrave, it has worked a miracle for me. Time to start sewing some smaller clothes. The initial regain depressed me so much that after a few years I donated all my small size clothes and patterns. To re-buy them on the secondary market would cost a fortune now that the future of printed patterns is grim.

Hope you all are having a great day. I'm enjoying breathing again!!!

Good mornin y'all.

i'm feeling pretty yucky. I think I'm getting sick again. My chest is really congested. I'm over this **** It gets old quick.

Not sure what we're doing today. I do have to drop a package off at the post office.

QOTD: last thing I watched was the Colbert show last night. Other than that it was America's test kitchen.

B: breakfast cookie thing and coffee

L: ???

D: stew

this is what i'm sending in the mail.

Happy Hump Day Crew!!! Halfway through another week. Another nice cool morning here in CT. We are supposed to get some rain showers today and then the weather is going to turn pretty nice for the rest of the week and weekend.

I found the rat yesterday it was in the outside closet in a 5in x 5in hole. The guys still can't believe I found it since four of them have been looking for it since Friday. I keep telling people that I'm a detective, but they just don't believe me. LOL Now the scale house doesn't stink anymore.

I finished smoking the pork chops and ground up 8 lbs of pork for sausage or hamburgers.

QOTD: Where would you be if you were stuck in the last TV show you watched? Thankfully I haven'****ched any zombie shows lately, but the last one was Twisted Metal on Pea**** So not as bad as a zombie show, yet everyone still wants to try and kill you. Oh boy. I need to star****ching nature shows with nothing deadly in them.

B: tea and 3 egg bites

L: leftover yankee pot roast

D: grilled chicken thighs

There is an estate sale down the road from me 3-7pm that we are going to run over to when I get home. Then we will hit the Y.

Have a great day everyone!!!
