Good morning, everybody!
The triathlon is on Sunday. It's just a beautiful location: swimming in Lake Michigan, cycling on Lake Shore Drive without any cars and running by the museum campus. I signed up for the Olympic distance this year: 1500 meters swim, 25 mile ride and 10k run.
Last year, I did the Sprint distance, which was 750 meter swim, 15 miles bike and 5k run. So almost double this year. I can't guarantee that I won't walk any of the 10k, but I'm pretty confident that I'm going to finish.
Compared to last year, I think I'm actually a little less conditioned but 1) an improved swimmer, 2) with a real bicycle 3) more experienced, and 4) it's going to be almost 20 degrees cooler according to the forecast.
Today, I will go for a short bike ride and then rest until Sunday.
We will stay in the city on Saturday night because it's an early start on Sunday morning.
QOTD: have oats instead of a Cliff Bar for morning snack.
Breakfast: bagel
Lunch: Italian sandwich
Dinner: Steak
Have a great day, all!

Good morning all and Happy Fri-yay,
We made it to the weekend! Finger pistols to the sky. Pew! Pew! Pew! Does that qualify as attempted imaginary assault with a figurative weapon?
I'm buried under to do's but I'm focusing on completing just a couple tasks today. A new aide is starting to help.
This weekend, I don't have anything important planned so everything is fluid.
QOTD- What is one healthy habit you can add to your routine next week to improve the successful weight management that you already practice.
An extra couple flights of stairs in the AM and PM. Taking my dog to the forest preserve instead of the dog park. Both things are easy and won't take up any noticable additional time.
Accountability- cinnamon roll. I cut it in half and really enjoyed it. Then I ate the other half and really enjoyed it more. That is before the amount of calories crossed my mind.
B: Coffee and Oikos triple zero cherry, peach.
L: Chicken shish kabob, grilled veggies.
D: 4 Buffalo Wings, blue cheese, jicama sticks tossed in buffalo sauce, salad
Pics- a really big tree and me; Burger for breakfast & hand cut fries; Pajun Pancake w Brussels, some sort of teriyaki oyster soy sauce, potatoes
HW: 371 SW(8/9/21): 324 CW: 208 lbs 0 lbs til goal of skin reduction surgery. I'm still looking for a new plastic surgeon.
"I wonder if pizza thinks about me, too."
PS- I forgot to say I was wrong about the plateau...today the scale moved and put me at 40 pounds of regain gone!

Sorry to be here so late, I just lost track of time today. Hope your pain clinic visit was productive! And oh my gosh that dress...LOL!!! You are so talented, those earrings are gorgeous.
QOTD: Home grown zucchini and watermelon from Hermiston, Oregon. I swear before summer is over I'm going to go off my diet just one day and eat nothing bu****ermelon.
B: My big, frosty protein shake lasted me till 3 pm
D: 3 Oz super-minced chicken breast, 2 T G Hughes SF bbq sauce over 1/2 c FF cottage cheese.
Excited to get my eyes checked tomorrow and order new glasses. My vision has gotten much worse this year, it will be great to be able to see clearly again.
Hope you and everybody else had a great day. I canned fig jam for Hubby.

Good morning y'all!

After reading your reply I had to go check our weather and sure enough, over the weekend we'll be close to 100. There goes the water bill again, lol.
Hope you got your lock screen fixed and enjoy the rest of your day and evening.

So sorry about this big life change, that is never easy even if it is the right thing to do. You were very smart to do that type of self care.
Today's productivity is loading the car with more stuff to donate. The house is feeling better with this purging. But I can't let go of my fattest fat clothes, I don't trust this weight loss yet. But I am packing them away in big plastic totes.
QOTD: As a pre-op Klondike's were 'meh'; post-op I tried the sugar free ones...not tasty to me. Now...if we were talking about a fudgesicle that's different. I can manage a skinny one. Maybe I'd hem a pair of pants for one? Or not. lol
Either I'm forming a stricture or my pouch (who will be 20 in December!) is protesting my stress because I can't eat much lately. My frappe-style protein shake is fine, liquids are fine but pretty much everything else must be nearly puree or a slider. Too many bites and I get nauseous. It's fine, I'm not even hungry on Contrave. But, my body is protesting with another plateau. Brat.
B: Genmaicha (brown rice flavored green tea).
L: attempted green beans and well chopped imitation crab with 1 tsp butter and 1 T G. Hughes bbq sauce. Got in about 3 forkfuls.
S: a cup of homemade chicken broth
D: Going to rejig my protein shake to remove the caffeine and add a little coconut oil to help my fats today.
LS: A bottle of Fairlife chocolate protein shake.

And rude people tell us the rny is 'taking the easy way out'. It has been 19 years since I've had restaurant ice cream. Sometimes that's not fun.

I can't have a Klondike bar, but I used to love them. I can eat lactose free ice cream once in a while. But I would love to be able to stop and get an ice cream cone sometimes. Just not worth the risk of dumping.
