Happy Thursday Gang!! Today should be a quiet day at work. Though I do big Spring project to kinda start working on for work. A long-time employee passed away last year he was the corporate air compliance manager. At his memorial service they handed out packets of wildflowers because he was big into nature and outdoors stuff. My plant manager gave me the two packets he received and asked me what we could do with them. I told him to let me think about it. Took me a whole 10 minutes to come up with a plan. We are going to put them in this nice raised bed that I found. It's a U shaped one that covers 100sq ft. Then we will have a plaque made in loving memory of Carlo. He really was a great guy.
I got my soil mix started last night so I can plant some veggie seeds this weekend. Thinking about breeding the rabbits this weekend also since I have some people looking for some. I'll see how much I get done since the weather is actually going to be in the 40's which to me is a heatwave. LOL
QOTD: Do you ever get stuff posted for free on Facebook? I do if it is something I need. Like the other day someone posted they had a freeze with meat that was freezer burnt. Not good for human consumption, but perfect for the cat and dog. So, I ended up with over 10lbs of meat that I ground up and sectioned out. That's a money saver right there.
B: coffee and 2 scrambled eggs with cheese
L: 4 pork ribs
D: chicken salad lettuce wraps
Heading to the Y tonight since Irvin's mouth feels better.
Have a great day everyone!!!

Good mornin y'all.
not a great day over all so far. New pains in the left leg that are just about putting me at my breaking point. Have had more than one big cry so far. It's hard to be positive but I'm going to survive out of spite. I see my eye specialist today...well I will do testing today and I'll probably see him some time next week. That's the one that'll suck as it takes at least 2 to 3 hours. Eck.
tomorrow I see the NP for my new doctor, the rheumatologist. I'll see her in two weeks. I'll probably just have a lot of testing done tomorrow.
thanks for the birthday wish! My mom hasn't even wished me one yet. :::shrug:::
QOTD: kitchen for sure, our kitchen is all dark wood and crappy countertops. I'd get rid of the bar as is. Move it against the wall and just really overhaul it. I hate this kitchen with a passion.
food is really iffy today. Not sure what we'll eat after my appointment.
Happy Hump Day Menuer's!!! Irvin's second dental appointment went well. The water wash at work went well and I was able to get my chicken canned thanks to my SIL. I have to call Presto back today with the model and serial number to get a replacement seal. I think I'm going to try making canned beef stew this weekend. I do have to grab some more pint size Ball jars.
We got a bit more snow this morning so I came in an hour late to work to make sure the roads were cleared. Hoping today is quiet so I can get caught up on some more things.
Happy Birthday Mel!!!
Did you decide on what cake you will be having?
QOTD: If money wasn't an issue what's one room in your house you would redo? I have two in mind, but the first one would definitely be the kitchen. I would have it as 3/4 of the house with so much counter space and cabinets plus a walk-in pantry. The appliances would be commercial grade stainless steel. The stove would be at least 6 burners and two ovens all gas. Walk-in refrigerator and freezer. I figure go big or go home. LOL
B: Tea as my stomach isn't feel great for some reason
L: I have chicken broth if I feel like eating
D: I think I might pass on it
I already did the treadmill this morning just because I know Irvin's mouth is still sore. We should be going to the Y tomorrow night.
Have a great day everyone!!!

Good mornin everyone.
I have an appointment later today. I have been feeling really rotten. Some issues I need to talk to my PCP later this month. I wish I was seeing him sooner. I am worried about some things.
I am hoping to relax most of today.
QOTD: I did watch the half time show. It was fun and fun to dance to!
B: atkins bar & coffee
L: burrito
D: ?????
Good Tuesday Morning Gang. I had yesterday off and ended up sleeping in late since I stayed up watching the Super Bowl. Bummed that the Pats didn't win, but still really proud of them going all the way to the SB. Of course, now I have to play catch up with things at work. But that will make the make the day go by fast.
I tried to use my new electric pressure cooker that I got for Christmas, but I couldn't get it to pressurize. So, I called my SIL who has two of them and she asked for pictures of the underside of the lid. I sent them and she said that she had the same problem with one of hers. Apparently, there is a defect in the silicone ring. She's going to let me borrow hers and told me to call Presto and they will send me a different ring for it.
QOTD: For those of you who watched the Super Bowl did you watch half-time show? Nope I took a cat nap instead. I could care less about either show and I'm tired of the bickering between the celebrities.
B: Coffee with protein powder
L: leftover homemade pizza
D: pork chops with mushrooms and onions
I'll do the treadmill tonight since Irvin is having his second round of dental work done at 2 today.
Have a great day everyone!!
Why is 400lb+ Surgery Success still "Invisible" in the Media?"I?m pre-op, starting at 488 lbs with a goal of 190. As I look for inspiration, I?ve noticed that People Magazine?s 'Half Their Size' issue almost exclusively features 'diet and exercise' stories

Afternoon y'all.
sorry I missed a few days, been kind of down in the dumps.
today we went to the thrift store and out to eat with my aunt. Nothing else is happening today.
QOTD: It used to be diet soda was so much better for you. Now it's almost as bad if not worse than regular pop.
B: egg, cheese and coffee
L: teriyaki beef with about 1 tbs rice and a shrimp rol
D: prob leftovers
I was 472lbs in 2011 when I reluctantly went to see a surgeon about weight loss surgery. I avoided coming to terms with my weight until I couldn't walk up 2 flights of stairs from the subway station, or even walk a city block without stopping to catch my breath. I was contemplating quitting my job because of my weight. My advice is do NOT ignore it any longer. Your body is under severe stress at that weight, and the psychological aspects are also hurting you every day. Seeing that doctor and getting surgery was by far the best decision I've ever made regarding my health.
