Iiiiiiiiiii'm Back! - My Sleeve Training made my LBL easier

I had read and heard all of the horror stories.  I was ready to be a hunchback for 6 weeks and have all of these gaping holes in my groin.  For me so far the swelling is really the worst.  My surgeon told me to expect that to last at least this first month and then it will reduce to normal over the next 3 months.

I am hoping to beat that curve too - LOL.  If I don't have the pain, maybe I can not have the swelling last the rest of the year.  Shouldn't be too greedy though if its one or the other I'll take the swelling.

Hi Rob!!  I was wondering how you are doing.  I am very happy to see your return and that you are progressing quite well with your recovery!!  Best wishes for this to continue - I can't wait to see your pics.
I hope your husband is still taking great care of you - I am sure he is.  Personal question - don't have to answer, but I wondered what his thoughts were before and after your plastics.  If that's too personal, I am sorry :)

Too personal?  After I posted about my swollen scrotum, LOL!

Seriously, everyone is quite happy with my results.  My surgeon did a terrific job.

Thomas was my main supporter before surgery.  He would never let me get depressed over my saggy skin and body image.  I think its like the cartoon below that RyanJS posted the week before my plastics.  I saw it much worse than he did.  He never cared either way so long as I was happy.

So glad to see you back!  Congrats on your LBL and thanks for sharing the details of your experience.  I can't wait to have some skin removed myself - arms and neck bug me the most and hope to have them done sooner rather than later.  Then, once I'm at goal weight (God knows when that will happen) I'll go for a tummy tuck or maybe an LBL.

I hope you might share some pictures once you are all healed and feel comfortable doing so.  It's got to feel so good to have that extra flappity skin off your body!!  Enjoy!

Nutshell:

Lost 140 lbs with VSG. (Hooray!!)

got pregnant  (yeaaaa!)

got cancer (boooo!)

regained 40 lbs.   (grrrr!)

In summary: Alive & Grateful.

LOVE THE CARTOON!! Not that anyone will be seeing my skin apron/mask thingy, but I literally laughted out loud and got caught not working...oops! Yeah, who laughs at work, in an office by themself?? This girl, reading a freaking hilarious post!!

SO GLAD YOU ARE BACK!!! I have missed you. I was wondering when you would come back to us. I was just thinking about you this morning and praying everything went okay. I am very glad that you have a very loving spouse to take care of you no matter what., and  loves you for you!!
