Halloween NSV - NOT related to Candy

So yesterday was Mine and Thomas' first Halloween in the new house. We were looking forward to this for a while - handing out candy. We had a big pot full of good candy and were sitting on the front porch with the Jack-O-Lanterns and fog machine waiting for the little Goblins and Ghouls to arrive.

Arrive they did - Thomas had to go out for more candy at one point.

The NSV - a lot of my new neighbors from the far corners of the neighborhood, introduced themselves to me. They commented that they had seen me faithfully walking to and from the store and how much weight I had lost. I had inspired some of them to walk more.

You can have a positive impact on others lives just by having a positive impact on yours. Paying it forward can be as simple as taking a walk regularly.

That's so cool Rob & you are so right. Sometimes it's just the simplest things that can make a difference. I'm glad to hear you are doing well after plastics. You are awesome!!!

We meant to but never got around to doing the costumes. We want to do Dumbledore (me) and Harry Potter (him).

Love it! You are absolutely right. Inspiring by example has a much greater impact than words.

And your costumes sound awesome. Do you have pics? :)

Nutshell:

Lost 140 lbs with VSG. (Hooray!!)

got pregnant (yeaaaa!)

got cancer (boooo!)

regained 40 lbs. (grrrr!)

In summary: Alive & Grateful.
