Good luck off the shot. I don't take much but am afraid to go off completely. I love that maintaining doesn't require constant willpower.

Never heard of The Pink Stuff, but just read about it. Thanks for that tip.

Thanks for all the wedding kudos everyone. I posted pics on my regular Facebook and will post a video on TT of us dancing! The wedding was very nice. Good tunes to dance to and we were on our way back to the VRBO by 10.
Today was mostly a lazy day, hanging out with the kids. DS2 flight out of Fargo was cancelled but he hitched a ride to MN with a cousin that was traveling back home and then he can get his connecting flight to Madison. DC1, DSD and SIL and a wedding party couple are all staying with us tonight and we will all head back to our respective homes tomorrow.
Greetings all
Sunny and windy now. Today has been interesting. Poppy still seemed ill and DH was insistent that we take her to the vet even though its emergency prices. Only one vet is open in the county. So off we went. I swear just getting a ride in the car was the cure. After waiting around and being fed treats by the vet Poppy seems fine. This vet is kind of hippy dippy so we came home with some herbal tincture and some anti coughs pills. But exam results were all good and nothing could be seen down her throat so likely some kind of allergy thing. Whatever. $370 for a mornings entertainment. It was a nice drive as this place is kind of off the beaten track and the surrounding area could be described as eclectic provincial.
Muscles Liz yum. All sea food rocks.
And speaking of rocking, Paula you rocked that dress! I think the new word is "fire". Enjoy more festivities.
CC Ain't it great to find a good worker. Glad you tipped him big time. Don't lose that guy's number. I too feel guilty when others are working around me but lately I just give in.
Ocean Diane glad you got some paddling in. Are there mosquitoes?
Went to the gym and while walking I got a call from the gallery. I had one piece displayed that was priced as $1 million or best offer. Some guy wants it so I told them $200. Will see if they do.
We want puppies Peps! I think you should name him "Neon Leon".
You are brave Ann to drink bourbon in the bath tub. Some of us could not get out...

My neighbors hired a young guy who worked on the crew that just put in their pool to do odd jobs on Saturdays at their house for $30 an hour in ca****'s so dirty here with the red dust everywhere, they are having him clean their patios and wash down yard furniture once a week. He's very eager to earn money and is a hard worker. They asked if I needed anything and one thing that's been bugging me is one of the fountains was full of silt from the red dust. It was not a job I wanted to do! So he came today to work on it, emptied it out completely of rocks, powerwashed and vacuumed out all the silt and muck, and put it all back. It looks great and he was really thoughtful about where he dumped all the silt and dirty water. He worked on it for 2 and a half hours. I told him it would have taken me all day and was worth way more to me than $75. So I gave him $150. Honestly, my landscapers would likely have charged me several hundred. I will have him back to clean the other one soon and see what else I can think of for him to do!
And because I can't just sit while someone is doing a hard job for me that I didn't want to do, I cleaned - changed and washed sheets, vacuumed, steam mopped, emptied the dishwasher, and tackled a few jobs with The Pink Stuff cleanser I had been meaning to do. That stuff is magical! With the hard water here, the plastic window on my washer door gets a thick white film on it. In the past I've scrubbed it with a brush, a magic eraser, vinegar, all with no results. An easy swipe with The Pink Stuff and it comes right off. Very satisfying.
So that's it from my world...
Ocean, I'm glad it's all going so well for you. I was also glad to hear that your catfisher is a real person and a potential whatever-you-might-want these days. Most of life's big decisions are risky. But it's only sensible to minimize the risks we take.
I think that we're all much more savvy than the average bear about the virtual realm we all live in. I shudder for friends and family who haven't seen as much of the world as we have and struggle to navigate everything from romantic to financial to travel challenges. I do realize that one day I'll have to turn the reins of my life over to someone younger and savvier than me.
