Dec 22, 2012 we are still on the Earth [:0)

Dec 21, 2012

Hello to all.  Beautiful day, just enjoying an extra moment of sleep and slumber in my own bed and warm home.  I really can not understand the recent killings of those fragile lives lost to what?  Someone who was not mentally capable??  There are a lot of crazy ideas that killing seems to make something better?  Why?  The mother of the killer must have needed help and no one was available or she couldn't get what was needed? I guess we will never know how to make sense of killing a little child.. My mind can not wrap around all the unanswered questions.   As a society we need to discuss how we feel about the situation, what can we do to help.   Holding in the carnage, in our minds is never the answer and does not make it easier to deal with.  Discuss with someone at least get it out your mind out in the moment.  I am willing to listen if you want to talk.

My weight lose after all this time since 2006, I am holding steady between 155 & 158 lbs.  Would like to exercise more to make skin tighter.  It is not a pretty site to see hanging flesh from losing over 100 lbs, the skin is as gross as the fat.  Which would you rather have??  Still glad I was given the opportunity to have the surgery.  I still encourage others to consider, do your home work on who will do the procedure.  It is your health, you get to make the choice.  Don't wait, glad to speak to others and share my experience with  you at any time.

Time Out ;-0

May 22, 2012
Hello everyone did ya miss me?  I am doing better, weight around 162 - 165, size 8, starting to lose more inches, may need another size smaller, but no worries.  all is well.  been drinking lots of ice cold water every day.goo
I need to exercise more, I have flabby biceps and flabby cellulite thighs, ugh!  need to tone up, but have to do on my own, it is hard getting older, thought at one time my age was really old!  Oh well it is all relative, whatever happens to our bodies as we get older there is really no stopping all the aches and pains.  I really love senior citizens they need more support then we are willing to give.  Best times of my life were with older folks, telling me about their lives, growing up, life in the good ole days.. we really miss out when we are using high tech phones, computers, gps, facebook, etc  twouldnt be better if went back to speaking to each other one-on one,,  we could then a wonderful assortment of friendsand acquaiance,  Just have to speak to others by sitting down.  We would be helping the person, but really in the long we/me benefit 10fold.
older ones lose friends, they remain people regardless of age.
We are a nation as we stand together during tuff times & good times, we must treat ones better than what we want others to treat us.  Their are enough people where we coud make a true stand to make it all better.
Live your lives today like there is no tommorow, make everything you do or say, the truth, it is the very best policy, yea hoo!
Every has sme ambitions, wants, needs, place to live, work, house  to take care of in these difficult times. Together we can get the job done right..everybody hold on HELP is coming very soon, you be surprised to see has the real power over the entire universe..He knows what we need and will not delay, it is going to happen before we know it.. Stand strong, go for  the surgery make sure the surgeon is reliable and knows what to do in case of a crisis.  It is your life, stop sitting and stand up go to the nearest Bararetic Suregeon, do your homework, now stop reading this and go get yours, then share with me and all others how well you have done, we will inturn say a job well done...

December 24, 2011 whats happening?!

Dec 24, 2011

Hey to everry body, been working hard. last time i wrote had gall bladder surgery, yuko!! the gas pain was indescribably painful.  the best antedote was to walk it off as much as possible.  the gas they fill your stomach with is unbearable, walk, walk, walk and walk some more to get rid of the terrible pain.       then it is over as if it never happen, would rather of kept the gall bladder.  the cost killed me and my family, I pay for my own health insurance, [$four hundred monthly] the hospital bill alone was twelve thousand $12,000, of which I had to pay 20%. then had to pay Dr. Tom Sonnastine over $nine hundred, the anthesiaiologist [sp?] another $seven hundred, needless to say, I am under employed with a disabled spouse. Economy is bad. we are just keeping above the water. Paying ones as we are able. Dont know how long it will last, we may lose it all, house, possessions, etc.  We are all in the same boat, no oars, just using what we have to do what we can to move around. Sticking together still married over 38 years, we have to work it out as a family.  Jehovah will never fail us..
I make payments on all the bills, it is going to take me a while to pay everything off.  I had to take a week off from work, boy was this a bad idea...suggestion to others-- keep the gall bladder.  I would have rather had plastic surgery, at least would have something to show for the dollars I still owe, ugh!!
Dr. Tom Sonnastine has moved to Columbus, Ohio.  He is so good, everybody wants him, he is going places to save ones from death of being over weight..  I will have to find another local doctor, hopefully they will at least not kill me. Blue Cross Blue Shield took Dr Tom off of my network.  What is going on with insurance, paying home owners insurance, paying health insurance, paying for medication, paying car insurance, paying medicare part B, for the spouse, utility company will cut off electric if 1 day late paying invoice, water bill sky high, groceries bill has double still buying only necessities, etc.  If anything happens to me, i.e. get sick, we are going to have to live in our automobiles, both are over 10 years old and paid off, thank Jehovah!!!  I pray for everyone in our same perdicament can stay out of poor house, looks like we have to help each other to survive.
Glad we dont celebrate Christmas, oh my we could not participate...My boss didnt even give any of us a bonus, its okay, we do what we can.Jehovah loves me that is all that matters.  We appreciate His sacrificing His son, Jesus Christ to die for my sins...Praise Jehovah!!

Surgery needed.oh no!

Apr 05, 2011

ok the time has come to fix a problem that is bothering for several months.  I have a pain in my stomach and cant seem to flush out my colon.  I have stomach cramps, I thought it was Irritable Bowel Syndrom.  It has gotten worse.  I made a call to Dr Tom and went to Georgetown Hospital to see him.  Yep, it is my gall bladder,,have to operate and remove.  I had the ultra sound it didnt hurt, but the inevitable. I needed to see Dr. Tom, it has been a couple of years since I had a check up so I got two things resolved at same time.
I love Dr Tom, I believe everyone should have a doctor as good as he is.  He is not only good at the surgery, but also as a great personality.  Dr Sonnanstines bedside manner is impecable.  Please, if you are considering the gastric bypass operation,, seek out Dr Sonnanstine.  He is the best, even if you have to travel to Georgetown, Ky it is worth it; this is a life time of health.  If your insurance doesnt pay, they have a payment plan for anyone who wants to have the procedure.  There are no more excuses, you must have the best and the answer is Dr. Tom Sonnanstine.

Fall is tomorrow, 4th year WLS Anniversary - A new me....

Sep 21, 2010

I should probably be ashamed of myself, but I am not. It has been my fourth year since surgery, yea for me!!  Yes, I have gained some weight back but at the same time, I am much, much, less smaller, than what I was.  I am still glad I did have the surgery, it was one of those things that you will never regret.
I still have my appetite, but of course, I do not pig out.  I am grateful for a second chance at living a good life, without all of the morbid obesity, staring down at me.  I am glad I choose Dr. Sonnatine, although I have not seen him or been to his office in about 2 years.  I would go visit him, if I needed to, or if I was having issues, but all is well.  I did not have any complications.  My thoughts here are to encourage others that are thinking about the surgery and yes, sometimes ones have problems, but I did not.  So, just letting you realize there are risk, but on the other hand, nothing bad happens either.  I do not know what your body can handle, but I will state, research, go to a lecture, speak with a reliable doctor, and then make your decision, do not be hasty.  Weigh all the things you know to be true and follow your gut!
I am glad that I did.  I hope you will too.
Now, I am going to exercise, because I believe, big or small our bodies need to move...besides after a while you enjoy the idea of exercise and moving, benefits come emotionally, physically and spiritually.  Welcome to my world, jump in the water is fine.....Come and join me [:0)

June 8, 2010

weight gain, yes,,, my own lazy fault, about 15lbs. Seems like soo much.  I am working on rectifying the situation.  Joining gym and drinking less coffee and more water.  Other than that all is well.
Thumblena is doing well.. Biggest problem is not getting rid of enough waste in my body.  Probably drinking more water will help.
I went from size 8 to a tight 10.  Your clothes do not lie.
I was thinking, we have some item in our closet that we will wear when we "get skinny" have you ever noticed by the time one gets "skinny" those clothes are really outdated and out of style?  Why do we live in the past, let us move forward.  Throw out all the clothes in your closets that you can not wear today.   Work today, first....then tomorrow, so on and so on..baby steps.  for instance i ate an apple, and not a piece of apple pie, that is just one thing, but it is one good thing.  This replaced the bad choice, correct one thing at a time.  make it yours and own it.  If you fail and eat a piece of pie, cake, cookie, chocolate, etc. ok so you ate that!!! now, eat something nutritious.  Our bodies are replacing cells every day, lets give the body something it can work with.  Yes, a bag of chips and a diet coke sounds good, but a salad with dressing is much better.  Get it, switch, one step, one meal, a little bit.

I figure that is why I gained 15lbs.  I was not doing right, I was eating a couple of handfull of m&Ms w/peanuts, and then a piece of bread, then a cupcake, I have to take responsiblity for what goes into my mouth.  If I feel down, I do a couple of situps...like when I went to Spinning class last week, the instructor said, "you can do anything for 3 minutes"  she was right.
I could not go at the top speed others were maintaining, so I worked the bike with my limitations.  I stayed on that bike the entire 45 minutes, pumping pedals at my speed.

Listen everyone!  We have to stop asking others how they lost their weight, focus on yourself.  What one thing will you change?  what can you do for the good of your body for 1, 2 or 3 minutes?  in time just like the weigh came on, it will now come off.
Dont make excuses for yourself, lift that leg, raise your arm, eat a salad with all the nutritious items.  Do it for you and nobody else.

See ya next time.  I will keep in touch.

Another beautiful day, March 20, 2010 first day of Spring

Mar 20, 2010

yes Spring has finally arrived, today!!  Jehovah is the best!! The four seasons, who would have thought this would make mankind so happy?  Jehovah is great and full of Wisdom!!

Would like to take this time to invite everyone reading this post to our yearly memorial of Jesus's death.  The date is Nissan the 14th, which this year is on a Tuesday, March 30, 2010, just after sundown.  There were over 10million at the 2009 Jesus Memorial, last year in April.  This amount of people should show all of us the value of what Jehovah has done for mankind.  He gave His only begotten, son, Jesus Christ so that we can live again in the Paradise Earth.  The Earth will never be destroyed, but the bad ones will be taken from it.  They will fall asleep in death and will be no more.   The wicked will be done away with and you will certainly look but they will not be,...Psalms 37:10&11.  Revelation states that death will be no more, sighing and crying all gone..this will happen soon.  Not in heaven but here on the Earth as the Lord's prayer has been repeated by millions of Christians.  We pray for Jehovah's Kingdom to come on the Earth as it is in the Heavens.  We are praying for the Earth to be cleansed of evil, wicked ones...then we will join in the cleaning up what man has done to the Earth.  Death will be no more, the former things will not be brought to mind.  Jesus will reign as King and then hand over the Kingship to his father, Jehovah.

This was never taught to me in church, it is not told by preacher man,  I had to read it for myself in the scriptures.  What do you believe?? Read the Bible it shows us what we should be doing, how things came to be and best of all, how Jehovah has it in His plan to fix the problems.  we will be amazed.  Why do Preachermen, Clergy Class,, Priest, etc. not teach us the truth?  Why do they all tell us we are going to Hell if we do not do good?  Jesus was in Hell for 3 days, was he bad?   No, Hell is only a grave, a place where ones are only asleep, there are no works in Sheol [Hades].  Jehovah does not torment people, He is a God of Love and wants all to live under His rule.  Not giving our allegance to a flag, but to Him, the Supreme One that is the Alpha and the Omega, no beginning, no end.  The One, Creator of Jesus his first creation.  The two of them working side by side, making the Earth a place for mankind to live and be happy.  There is so much to learn about God and his son.  Do not miss out, please join us at anyone of Jehovah's Witnesses Kingdom Halls in your area.   Again, the date is March 30, 2010 after sundown.   I am sure Jehovah will bless your sacrifice to come and listen to what He has in store for all of us.   May He bless you now and forever.

By the way I lost 3 lbs.  On my way to getting back on track....peace to all of you.  The journey is the fun part!!!! [:0)

Learning more Jan 31, 2010

Jan 31, 2010

i would really like to run but yet do not know how to get started??  I love to read magazines, books, etc about running, but still have not gotten off couch to just do it...  I am not saying I do not know how, it is a motivation thing.  I want to do so much more but have gotten into a rut.  Need to get out meet more people get to know other runners to help me with my goal.
Start out with a local gang and work my way up.  I did sign up for boot camp last fall but only was able to work out a few times.  My husband is  losing his eye, he has a disease in his right eye which is taking over the sight in this eye.  He has had so many eye surgeries, now they are shooting steriods into his eyeball to help but having needles insert into your eye has got to be the worst.  any way I tried to get myself healthier to help him, but the stress of the situation effects my motivation.
These are excuses, I realize this and it is actually a cope out.  I did the surgery but now want to lay back and do nothing.  Bad move on my part.
Just so others know, it has been three years since surgery and have gained back about 10 or 11 pounds, I am determined to stop from gaining more.  Now is the time to nip the cycle of weight gain.  Have to start again, let my pouch do the work it was meant.  I am finding it easier to eat more of the snacks.  I am taking ambein to sleep and I find myself waking in the middle of night to eat.  I dont realize I am doing it, until I awaken in the morning and find an empty bowl with a spoon in it, or cereal box open...I did ask my husband if I eat at night and he has seen me walk into the kitchen and come back with food.
Then I fall back to sleep.  I have ask him to take the food from me when he sees me sleepwalking.  On the side effects of the medicine it states some will find themselves eating and sleep walking.  I stop eating at 8p.m. to curb my appetite and get a mindset to tell my brain that we are not eating until I get up around 6:30a.m.
This just goes to show why ones do gain after surgery, we must remember that food is still our addiction.  It must be a daily battle such as drugs or drinking.  I will be updating weekly to let ones know my progress. Kind of like Weight Watchers weighing in and making me accountable.  Well thanks for reading my update and I wish everyone else great sucess!!!

Bad Headache, what to take??

May 27, 2009

Terrible headache all day long, cant seem to shake.  Not sure what medicine would be good for me and my pouch... There was a bad smell at the office today, due to a fuse in the breaker was blown, it made me ill. We opened the front door and the garage door in the warehouse but I was nauseaous all day!  Now, my face and temples hurt from the pain.  Wish I knew how to fix the pain.
Other than that had a great day.  I wanted to run on treadmill but came home and went to sleep for about an hour.  When I woke up I still have a bad headache and now my ears hurt too.  I guess I will drink some water and go back to bed, hate when I feel bad.
Hope everyone else had a great day!!  Keep exercising, moving, eating healthy and always smiling [:0)

May 25, 2009 It has been a while since I spoke...

May 25, 2009

Today is a worldly holiday and I got to have a day off to enjoy!  We went shopping at the Thrift Store today,  they had 50 cents sale on all green tags, half off of yellow tags and 20% off total purchase.  I had a blast.  I spent a little bit of $$$ and got lots of size 6s & some size 8s, shorts, capris, shirts, blouses, dresses, shoes, jewelry and nick nacks, etc.  It was fun, fun, fun!! I should have been out in Field Ministry today, but I do not have any run around clothes that really fit.  Mondays are the only days that the Thrift store has their big 50 cent tag sale and  I always have to work every day and never get a chance to shop early in the a.m. then we had Chinese with sushi , yummy!!
We headed to the Florence Yall Mall to get to the many sales there.  Man, we did very well.  I got a coat for $10 and lots of shawls in various colors for $1 & $3 each, yeah for me!  I love to head for clearance sections, you save big bucks!!!
We got home and went thru our bags of clothes, love them all.  Then I ran a  mile and a half, it was great on the treadmill at our house.  I have an elliptical machine, which I love!! We all have bicycles and now we have 4 dogs we have alot of walking around the neighborhood.  It is great to walk and keep healthy.
I am still eating small amounts.  My weight goes between 155 and 160lbs, no biggy!   I feel gooooood.  I have never really needed to go see my WLS Doctor. Although I heard he is now in Georgetown, Ky, which is  maybe an hour from my house, if I needed to get to him.  But really no reason to bother him, I am doing fine.
I have occassional irratable bowels, but nothing that is the fault of the operation.  It is just me not eating fiber, when I should. So, the surgery is still a God sent and I am very, very, appreciative of Jehovah's blessing on helping me.  Never give up and never surrender, there is always help, some times we just need to ask.
Taylor Mill,Ky - Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses are having our District Convention in Dayton, Ohio at the Nutter Center the first weekend in August 2009.  Come & join us if you care, we will learn more about how we all should be living in these last days before the real life of living on this earth, will soon be.
I love to share with others what I have learned by reading the Holy Scriptures.   If your house was on fire, I am certain that you would be greatful that I came knocking, so this is why I am bold in telling others that we all need to be in the right frame of mind.  Jehovah and Jesus will and does help all of us, just ask and you will receive.  But once you receive please pass it onto others so they may also get blessings.  I love all that Jehovah has done for each one of us.  I know that He cares for His people or else he would not let me tell others about His love for all mankind.  Jehovah is not mean or hateful, He wants everyone to be saved or else no one would be able to live in His new earth.  Thank you for letting me share the Good News with you, hope your day went well!  Take care and stay healthy, Jehovah will take care of the big stuff.
