As with most people I thought I was heavy even in H.S.  Looking back, I really wasn't, but all of my family kept talking about my eating and how I would be too heavy if I kept at it...well it happened, I got pregnant with my first child at 18 and lost 28 pounds in the first trimester...the Doc. was scared in which scared me into eating my way up to 55lbs by the time I had given birth I weighed in at 205 lbs (I began my pregnancy @ 150) That began my real roller coaster ride with weight.  I wasn't happy being heavy and looked for a way to get help losing it...phen fen, it worked great, but scared the heck out of me, I lost 50 lbs in 6 wks!!  Stopped taking the meds because it messed with my gallbladder, then the terrible news about what it's side effects were came out...I am always worried about having had taken that med.  So after stopping I gained back the weight and went on to about 215 in weight.  Got prego again and gained to an astonishing 285.  Through out the last 10 years I have gained and lost and gained and lost and gained even more...much like everyone elses stories...in the end I lost a lot with my 3rd child all the way back down to 210 and was so happy at that weight. (much better than 285) But when I had my last child I went back up to 285 and basically stayed there until recently, I went on Nutrisystem for 2 Mos. and lost 10 lbs.  It has stayed off, but I couldn't afford to keep on the program on a monthly basis....I so want/need WLS.  I am strong and I am ready for the life change, I've been ready, for years now!
