6 Week Update.

Well yesterday made 6 weeks and like usual I will update my weight.  I lost 3 oz.  I know that is bad news however I went to my Physical Trainer yesterday and guess what I lost a total of 31.25".  This was totally amazing.  I asked for a copy of my measurements before and after so here it is.

Total Lost is 31.25.  I had to repeat this because it is just amazing.  Well we can excercise class yesterday and I had a great class I did not give up at all.  Cindy the Physical Trainer had outside class yesterday.  Well the warm up was easy then we did our arms then we walk to this steep hill and she said that we will be running 10 hills.  I was like are you serious well I did all 10.  In matter of fact Cindy kept wanting to race me.  I told her in 3 more months I will beat here because right now I am caring a 70 lb backpack on my back and when I take a least half of that off I will beat you.  So that should be one more goal of mine.  On Feb. 9, 2009 I am going to race Cindy up those hills.

As for the food I am still doing ok.  I think I need to add vegstables and fruit however I am lazy and I am doing fine with my shrimp and poke.  If it ain't broke don't fix it right.  I just have to monitor my fat content.

My Halloween goal was 199 however unless this weight starts to move I ain't going to reach it.  I am going to excercise double this week to try and get it off my back.

Need to get back on track!!!

Well I have been slacking on my excercise and I really need to get back on track.  On Monday me and my boss are going to the Coast Guard to excercise.  I can only do about 30 minutes on the eliptical and I am pooped.  We then go down stairs to lift weights for a little bit.  He said that we are going to go everyday this week.  Today is the one day that I can't go.  I have an appointment with the Physical Trainer Cindy to get my measurements. 

For my excercise today I did wake up at 4am and went for a run/walk for about 3 miles.  It was really nice.  I jogged till the end of the long street about 3/4 of a mile.  Then I walked a little than ran till the end of the next street.  I ran up a little hill and ran down.  When I came to the last hill I was telling myself I am going to run up that thing.  I think I tried for 15 seconds and said hell no I am having a hard time walking it.  So I walked it.  The 3 miles took me about 30 minutes.  I felt great.  Later on this evening I have excercise class and that is for an hour.  Cindy is going to kick my butt I know it.

5 Weeks!!

Today makes 5 weeks and I am at 205 lbs.  That is a total of 35 lbs lost. 

I went to excercise class yesterday and let me tell you it kicked my butt.  I am use to excercising only 30 minutes but this class is 1 hour long.  I really think we should do 2 30 minute classes because it is tourture.  My mom wants me to go excercising with her however I really like going to the class because Cindy keeps me motivated.  I am starting the couch to 5K.  I am having my second run today.  The only difference that I have is that I run two telephone poles than walk two telephone poles.  When I get to the park I just tell myself that I am going to run to the sign or whatever I decide to pick.  I think that out of a 2.5 trail I run probably 1 mile or more.  I am hoping that next week I can run 3 telephone poles. 

As for eating I can eat anything that I want to except things that are white.  I don't even want to try.  I haven't touched a soda in over 2 months now and I don't want to.  I am happy with my water and crystal lite.  I don't drink to much crystal lite only at parties.  May favorite thing to eat is shrimp.  Yesterday was the first time that I tried a Tortilla Pizza and it was so good.  I made it with low carb tortilla, pizza sauce, cheese and pepperoni.  I could only eat 1/4.  I gave the rest to my boss.  I am going to have another one for lunch today.

On a personal note.  Yesterday was my 13th wedding anniversary and I totally forgot.  My husband told me at about 10pm last night and said that he knew all day however wanted to know if I would remember.  Of course I didn't, I haven't remembered our anniversary for 5 years.  I am so bad.  He wants to go out to eat on Saturday however I told him that I will cook a seafood meal and we can eat at home with plenty of left overs.  I am planning to have shrimp, clams, crab leggs and some poke.  We are going to invite the children to eat too.  I will probably eat 2 shrimp, 1 clam, 1/2 crab legg and that is it.  I will be the offical shrimp peeler, and crab picker for the 3 and 7 year old.

I thought I posted my before measurements but I guess I didn't.  I checked all over the house looking for my pad of paper I wrote them down on but I am unable to find it so I guess I am starting from 1 month out.  No big deal.

I went shopping today and bought these Whole Wheat low carb, low fat Tortillas.  They are Garlic & Herb.  They are made by La Tortilla Factory.  These are soooooo good.  I know it was only 7 am in the morning but I had to try them.  I made a pepperoni pizza.  It was YUMMO! I only ate about 1/4 of it and gave the rest to my boss.  He is on the Atkins diet right now and he wanted to read in package before he ate it and then he did and loved it.  I think I will have that for lunch tomorrow.  I will have my oatmeal for lunch.  I have to eat some carbs today because I have excercise class today.

Get your butt moving!!!

I am so pissed at myself.  I have not excercised in three days.  No walking or anything.  On Friday I had to go to my doctors appointment so I didn't walk my 4 miles with my co workers.  On Saturday I had to coach soccer, and take stats for the football team so I was on my feet all day.  Sunday I had to pick coaches for the All-Star Teams.  I am taking the Silver.  I didn't want the gold because there is just to much crap with the gold. 

Why am I giving myself excuses.  I could walk for 30 minutes or go to the pool for 30 minutes or do anything.  I always blame not having time or I have to watch my daughter.  It has been one month gone and I need to motivate myself today.  I will walk or do something TODAY!!!!

Just got back from the gym.  My boss use to be in the Army so he has military access.  We went to the Coast Guard and I didn't do that bad for my first time to the gym.  I did 30 minutes on the eliptical and then 30 minutes of stretching and weight room.  I didn't do to much weights just inner and outter thighs, I used the big ball and did crunches and butt lifts.  I don't know what they are called.  My boss said that we will go on MWF until we are in better shape to do more.  I totally agreed.

Well this is my second time writing this I got booted off last time.

Well today makes 1 month out and I am 208! This is so amazing.  I started this journey at 240 and now I am 208 that is 32lbs down.  Let me tell you it hasn't been hard and it hasn't been easy for this month.  The easy part is the eating.  I almost have to force myself to eat however because I eat only food that I love to eat it is pretty easy.  I love to eat poke (raw fish), shrimp (poke style or with cocktail sauce), lunch meat with hummus, canned asparagus, scrambled eggs with salsa, BBQ chicken, etc.  There is just to many things that I can eat.  I am very careful about my portions and put 2 oz on my plate but most time I can only eat half.  I do eat a bit to fast however I stop eating after 5 minutes.  Once I feel a little tight.  That is it no more food for me.  The hard part is exercising.  I go for my walk with my two co-workers.  We go for a 4 mile walk M-F I go only if I am not leaving work early.  Most times I walk 4X a week.  I like doing my Firm DVDs however my children always get in the way.  The 3 year old tells me no exercising you get mad at me.  I tell her ya mommy gets mad so go watch TV in your room.  I plan on running after I hit 200 lbs.  Hopefully that will be in 2 weeks.  My Halloween goal is to be 199.  I think I can do it.  I exercise every Wed at the WLC.  Cindy kicks our butts however she is so nice.  She told me yesterday during exercises class that I kept giving her stink eye.  HELLO I don't like to exercise but I will do it.

My children are my biggest fans.  They are looking at the big prize.  No its not me looking good it is the prize that I am giving them.  1 year annual pass to the Water Park if I get to 140.  They are so excited.  They can taste it.  My husband is giving me complements everyday on how I look.  I think I need a TRO on him because I think he is sexually harassing me.  I never heard him tell me he loves me this much.  I think he is have security issues.  Now my husband is a good looking guy I don't know why he feels like I am going to leave him. 

My first goal is to be 199 by Halloween the second is to weigh less than my husband.  My husband is 195 and that is pretty soon.  Now to fit into his pants will take awhile he is a 36" waist.  I still have to do my measurements I am just lazy.  Well I up loaded my 1 month pictures.

3 Weeks Today!!!

Well yesterday I went to Castle and signed up for their excercise class.  Let me tell you it kicked my butt.  I was so tired.  I thought I was in pretty good condition for a fat person.  I do my excercise in the morning for 30 minutes and I walk 4 miles at lunch.  Durning these excercises I sweat but not look like a sweaty pig.  Well last night I was that sweaty pig.  Let me tell you it felt good however I did get sick and wanted to gag.  I was told I am not eating enough carbs.  I haven't even ate a carb I told them.  Well I was told to eat some whole grain crackers and hummus.  So I went to the store to buy some this morning.  So breakfast was 5 100% Whole Grain Wheat Thins with hummus and 3 thin deli meat.  I felt I was eating an appetizer.  It taste really good and I am soo stuffed right now. 

With this surgery I do not feel deprived at all.  I am always full.  I don't have to force myself to eat but I make myself eat because to lose weight you need to fuel yourself. 

Well yesterday after excercising I wanted to jump on the scale.  I was like wow I am 213.  That is 23 lbs lost in 3 weeks.  I am so happy you can't believe it.  Everytime I see that scale move I want to excercise some more.

Throw the scale away!!!

Well I always have my official way in on Monday.  Today I am 216.  I should stay off the scale all week but I am so addicted to it.  Did you ever notice that if you move your scale in different spots that the numbers change.  I was so upset.  I got on the scale this morning and it said 220.  I would have gained.  I was no this is not right so I picked up the scale and placed it on another spot.  Now it read 216.  I was like what 4 lbs this is so wrong.  I need to throw this dam thing away. 

As for the excercising.  I been walking on my lunch hour with fellow co-workers.  I try so hard to keep up with the 80 year old man.  He is in good shape.  I always tease him and tell him Grandpa wait up for me.  We both just laugh.  I am also doing my Hip Hop Abs in the morning.  It is a 30 minute workout that I love.  Walking in the morning by myself is too boring.  I rather walk with company. 

My eating is doing ok I think.  I love eating shrimp cocktail.  I can eat this everyday.  Wait I have been eating this everyday.  I love eating chili, and tofu.  My children are starting to eat health because I am changing the way they eat.  I want to lay off the fried food and bake, broil stirfry most of their food.

Monday Check In 9/22/08

I haven't lost a pound since last week and I am not worried about it at all.  I am still at 219 my doctor told me that I lost 19 lbs since surgery to me that is just amazing.  He said that I probably won't lose any more weight for about 2 weeks then I will start losing again.  He said that he don't see too many woman that are light weights lose 19 pounds in 1 week.  That put a huge smile on my face.  He even called me a superstar for excercising everyday.  I am still walking however if I walk to much the rest of the day is shot.  I am so tired and I really don't want to do anything else but relax.  My goal is to get to 209 by 10/9/08 which will be a 30 pound weight lost in 30 days.

Well yesterday made my one week and I am feeling great!  I am excercising 2 times a day.  I get up at 4:30 am and go fo a nice 2 mile walk with consist of 1 small hill and 1 big one at the end.  Let me tell you I am totally out of breath with the last hill on the home stretch.  As of today I am 219.  That is 21 pounds since my journey and 17 pounds lost in one week since surgery.  I called my nut and told her that my water is going down really well and so is the yogart.  I asked if I can start on cottage cheese.  I am not suppose to start that until next week but I have some in my fridge that I don't want it to spoil.  She told me ok however with that food I have to wait 30 minutes before and 30 minutes after to drink anything.  I agreed.  Let me tell you it tasted so good.  I will try and keep a weekly journal.
