So got a call this afternoon to change my date again!!! This time something about wards being painted, honestly it was not Caitriona's fault but I am frustrated now. Anyway I guess it could be worse, it's now 5 weeks instead of 3 away so just need to get on with it. Hope everyone else is doing really well.

So i get a call this morning from my surgeon's office telling me there are bed closures in the hospital so my date is delayed, I nearly dropped but then she told me that it is by only 2 days :) so that is fine and suits me better with work etc. Other than that I am all over the place with thoughts on the surgery, one minute im super excited the next I am wondering if I am doing the right thing, but then I realise that I am after making the righ decision and calm down again. I'm like  mad person at the moment lol. Hope everyone else is doing great.

So yesterday I was with my surgeon and I have my official date for surgery. I am admitted on the 12th July and then my surgery will be on the 13th July. 13th is definitely turning into my LUCKY number.  I am super excited!

So here is the latest, last Thursday the day I have been dreading arrived and  I had all my tests done. Honestly it was a day of everything I try to hide from everyone. Between having the stress test showing my fitness levels to having ultrasounds done and being half naked. Then to finish the day having a scope without sedation although after my morning it was the easier part of my day.

As I was driving home (2 hours) I started thinking how much I really want this surgery etc and what if my insurance company do not cover me, what would I do? Then something just came over me and before I could panic I realised I would be covered and all would be fine.

I arrived home, picked up my post and there was the letter from VHI, I nearly dropped. I left it about a half an hour before opening in case after the day I had put down that it rejected me. Finally I opened the letter and there it was I had been APPROVED!!!!!

I nearly cried my day was totally worth it. Now all I have to do is have a sleep study done (why I dont know, I do not have sleep apnea).  I am hoping to have an exact date shortly. I am hoping it won't be too much longer I would like the surgery to be during the summer so that I can enjoy going for walks etc.
