First doctor visit today.  In 26 days I am down 38 pounds and three inches in the waist.  Feel great.  Up to about 2 miles per day walking.  Can start more food options now.  Very pleased.

Two weeks out and all is well.  Very little pain now.  Started soft solids today.  The all liquid diet is very tough.  According to my scales I may be down around 20+ pounds.  We will see when I go to the doctor on July 1.

June 13, 2008. Off and running

Jun 13, 2008

I was released from the hospital on Sat., June 7, after sucessful surgery on June 5.  Great surgeon, hospital and staff.  At home now and resting well, statred back to work on Wed.  Started protien drinks today.  Felt pretty slugish all week, very low energy and some soreness in left side.   I am glad I had surgery and I am ready to get on with this.  Looking forward to meeting my goals one by one.

Today I completed a two hour post operative nutrition class.  This covered everything about the two week liquid diet after surgery and the portions, foods and vitamins to take after the liquid diet phase.

Everything is set for Thursday morning at 10 for surgery.
