Dr. Martin is a soft spoken man. He answered all my questions and did not rush me through me exam. Dr. Martins office staff is very nice and funny. They were always available to answer my questions.
Aftercare is extrememly important. I will be seeing Dr. Martin for the next 5 years. Yes he does have a structured aftercare program. Yes they did discuss the risks of surgery and answered all my questions about this.
I highly recommend Dr. Martin for Gastric By-Pass surgery.
Surgical Competence is most important to me. Bedside manner is next.
He was very personal and easy to talk with.
My impression remained the same.
The office staff is very supportive and kind.
Aftercare is emphasized, explained and the patient is provided a bookle as well for reference.
Overall, I would rate Dr. Martin a 10!

He is the nicest, most humble Doctor I have ever met. He really cares about his patients and seems to disclose everything.
My first impression was that he was in a hurry and did not have a lot of time for his patients. I've had the surgery and been back for 3 check ups and I still feel he's rushed. The office staff is very friendly and knowledgable but I feel more teaching needs to be done. Had I not been a medical person myself I would not have recognized that I was becoming very dehydrated. Aftercare programs are offered but I haven't been able to attend any of them yet due to my schedule. Risk of surgery was explained in a general information meeting of all interested patients with handouts. Most of my information I gathered from my own research which is something everyone should do. Overall, I would rate him a 9 out of 10. He just needs to slow down. His surgical competence is excellent, his bedside manner was caring. One thing I did not like-the day of surgery I did not see him until I was being wheeled into the operating room. I would have appreciated him coming to talk to me before hand. That made me feel like "take a number". Of, course these are just my personal opinions and someone else may not have a problem with that.
Dr. Martin seems very compassionate. His family is morbidly obese and he is very sympathetic to the problems of big people.Hey, my husband really liked him and he doesn't like any doctor!
Dr. Martin is wonderful. He answered all my questions and has excellent staff. His medical asst Anne is great! I have had questions after surgery and when I call they either answer them right then or give me a prompt call back. They have a great suport group and their conference pre -op is great. At this meeting they go over any and all questions you may have about the surgery and explain the risks. I cannot say enough in favor of Dr. Martin and his staff.The only thing I have had a hard time with is my reg diet. I feel I need a more structured plan. It has been addressed at the support meeting and the staff said they are going to try to put something together.
Dr Martin seemed like a really good guy and confident with my choice and reasons. He gave me excellent information.***** I didn't see him before or after surgery. I never saw him the 4days in the hospital, his partner Dr.Fallang checked on me and released me. Not too happy about that....
I thought Dr. Martin had a very nice personality. He was very pleasant and knowledgable and allowed time for me to ask any questions I wanted. Overall I was very pleased with him and his staff.
