My first impression was that Dr. Quinlin is very professional and knowledgeable in the area of bariatric surgery. That was 12 years ago and my impression hasn't changed. The staff were very helpful and didn't seem to get irritated at my frequentt calls. He lets you know that aftercare is very important and never releases you. He informs his patients of all the risks of surgery. I'd give him a definite 10. I think that a surgeon should posess both surgical competence and a good bedside manner.

Dr. Quinlin is an absolutely wonderful surgeon. He will take the time to answer any questions that you may have (and believe me, I've had LOTS!) and his staff has to be the best around. They never make you feel like you're being a pain or that you're asking stupid, annoying questions. Rather, they take the time to listen to you and to make sure they understand your concerns and then they give you a quick response. Now that my surgery is over, I'm looking forward to dealing with what has to be the best medical team in Pittsburgh for the years to come.

My first impression of Dr.Quinlin was that he was very soft spoken, yet confident and at ease.He was friendly, yet professional. He made me feel comfortable to talk to him and to ask any questions.I didn't ask too many because I was sort of in a state of disbelief that it was really happening and that I was going to have this surgery. At the support group meetings he is even friendlier and will take the time to answer any questions. His staff is very helpful and friendly. I especially enjoyed my nutritional classes with Sara. I think Dr. Quinlin is The best there is. I would definitely recommend him to anyone that needed this surgery.

I was at first nery impressed by his knowlwdge. Now I think he is just awesome all-around. He is very busy as is his office staff. But never once did anyone make me feel like I was a burdon or it is my fault I turned out to be this big. The after care so far is very thorough, as was all of the pre-op work and notifications of risks. I would give him a 10. both competence and bedside manner are great.

The staff at Pgh Bariatrics has been great.Very helpful info about eating after surgery. Now that I have had my surgery I have to say Dr. Quinlin is fantastic. He is very quiet with an air of accomplishment. The staff in the office is very helpful and supportive.I was very scared and he was able to calm my fears by not disregarding what I had to say.

my first impression of dr. quinlin was "wow, he seems like the best in the business." very professional. the aftercare program is most important. long term aftercare seems to be a great factor of long term success. dr. quinlin didn't glaze over any of the risks of the surgery, he was very honest. doesn't return phone calls like he says he will. office staff is sometimes frazzled.

Dr. Quinlin is an angel. He has the upmost professionalism and his staff is amazing. I have yet to have a problem go unsolved or a question unanswered. He was attentive while I was in the hospital as well. He really knows his stuff. I would rate the staff and Dr. Q a 10 out of 10. I did have a problem with the anesthetics however, just had a hard time waking up, but from what my family tells me, Dr. Quinlin was very attentive to them as well. I was able to return to work 3weeks after my surgery and other than fatigue, I have had no problems.

Dr. Q is very professional and to the point. He will answer any question you have and makes himself very available if you have any questions or problems although he seems to be in and out of the room like a whirl wind otherwise. From the first moment I met him I felt his confidence and it gave me confidence. He has a great office staff and a super pre- and after care program. My experience with him to this point has been top notch. He is very experienced in this surgery and I would recommend him very highly.

Dr Quinlen was very nice to me. When I was in the hospital after surgery I had a problem with the pain meds and he was in several times and let me know that he wouldn't send me home until they got it under control. That made me feel better. He will answer any questions I have . I think he is a good doctor.
The only problem I have had is getting nutritionist to call me back. It took a couple of weeks to get a call back on a question. Once she called she was very helpfull and very nice. I just wish they would call back sooner. I never got a call back about bloodwork. I called the office and was told they would only call if there was a problem. I wish they would have told me that before and I wouldn't have been waiting for a call.
