The beds were horrible. I was on the "small" side and had problems getting into bed. My heart goes out to larger patients.

It seemed the nursing staff was very short. I was told they would get me up to walk, which they did not do. It also to a very long time to respond to call light (up to 45 mins). They could not find a pillow for me, I had to put blankets under me head!

The overall hospital is ok, it could be a little cleaner, the nurses and pa's could be a little bit more attentive, ringing that bell hundreds of times should not be the case. I know they are overworked but the patients should not have to suffer.

I wish they would make their ER larger and more efficient for the patients. You always feel like a number there. They also need to improve on their PM staff, they are terrible. Nobody is ever there when needed.

The only negative comment I can make about the floor I was on is that the housekeeping could have been better. I saw debris left on the floor for days in my room and in the hallway. I was in the hospital for four days and housekeeping only came twice during that time.

The hospital was ok. The day staff was great. The third shift was a little unattentive. I had a lot of unanswered call bells on this shift and had to make due on my own. Overall it was ok. I would go there again if the need arose.

The staff was not helpful. I was left sitting during my first night after surgery alone on the side of the bed without a call button within reach. My roommate (whom I live with) stayed with me most of the time to assist me with walking, using the bathroom, bathing, etc. The facility was filthy. The first room I was put in had trash (dressings) from the previous patient on the floor and no one cleaned it up. After two days I was moved to another room due to a roof leak and it wasnt until Monday morning that you saw anyone come in to clean. The bathroom was disgusting and the staff put the "hats" used to measure your urine on the ground, and after open surgery it is impossible to bend to reach the ground. My medication was stopped after the first day, except for the Morphine, which made me nauseaus. It took 12 hours to get anyone to contact the Dr for a different perscription. This was 24 hours post op. As far as the steps in the dietary process the staff was very uninformed and due to misinformation that I was given I ended up being nauseated due to trying to get too much in during a given time frame.
