Hospital of Saint Raphael (COE) Hospital

My mother was in there and it totally sucked. First she was put in the SICU after her surgery which was fine when they were supposed to move her into a room, then it was taken already. She had to spend the night there in the SICU. Next day was the same they almost had a room for her, but someone came in thru the ER and they gave that room away again, so she had to spend another night in the SICU. On the third day it was the same thing over and she had to stay in the SICU again, so that makes 3 days with no privacy, phone, TV. It was the worst hospital that I have ever been to. One of the X-ray Tech said her friend had the surgery there 5 weeks before and the same thing happened to her, 2 days in SICU on the 3rd day they gave her a room and the forth day she went home. What kind of treatment is that?? Please consider another hospital.

I saw my nurses all the time and was treated with the upmost care. The doctors made rounds every day early as well as the PA's. All my needs were addressed and any concerns I had were taken care of immediately.
When I was told by the nurses or staff they would contact my doctor to clarify a question or request, they did so immediately.
I never was in pain or kept in the dark while I was there.
Their discharge procedure was swift and complete.

I'd have to say I honestly did not find this hospital clean. I was very uncomfortable with that fact alone. I was in a room with a patient who had a colostomy and that was so gross when they changed it.
This hospital was so hot that smells just hung in the air. I never saw the floor being mopped and the bathroom was gross.
