I didn't have a chance to hear Dr Garth's talk but I know from personal experience as well as from watching my friends struggle with regain that SOLID protein fills us up and keeps us full longer-PERIOD. Should we all eat more fruits and veggies?-sure but only AFTER we've had our solid protein. If I were to eats salads and fruit only, I'd be starving in an hour.

I did really well today. For lunch I put 4oz of london broil, 1 oz of cheddar cheese and 3 crackers on my plate. I ended up eating 2 oz of meat, 1/2 oz of cheese and 2 crackers-I put the rest back. That is HUGE for me cuz I'm a member of the "clean you plate club".

2. What is your favorite time of year? Summer, cuz I'm sick of freezing all the time.
3. How many times does your alarm go off before you actually get up?? 2-3, I love my snooze.
4. Are you doing anything spooky fun this Halloween weekend?
Working all weekend which is always spooky!!
5. Are you dressing up in a costume? if so who? Went to the TMB party last weekend as a train conductor-even though others thought I was a bell hop, organ grinders monkey, toy soldier, etc. My date was Iron Chef Clay.

I ended up with a 4 day weekend. Didn't even know I had today off until I glanced at my schedule yesterday. So glad I'm off cuz yesterday I felt like I had the flu without a fever. Did manage to go to our monthly dinner with friends but then came home and went right back to sleep. Slept 10 hours and finally feel better.
Rowlett High School's marching band placed first in Area and are going to State so tonight, if I feel up to it, I'm going to go to Stadium practice to watch them perform. I miss be involved in that so much. OK, better go answer some emails...later.
