I am in an all time funk. I am feeling so defeated with my health and life and cannot find the motivation to even help myself. Have you felt this way? How did you get through it? I just spent two days in bed and I have never been through anything like this before. Ive been crying off and on with no specific reason why. I am in tears as I type this.
I read it and thought it was beautifully written!
You should ask your surgeon to refer you to a plastic surgeon. Often your WLS doctor works closely with plastic surgeons that they trust.

I wish you the best. I know it is difficult to get through those moments we never imagined we would be facing. Don't give up.

I have sjogrens, small fiber neuropathy in the torso, high blood pressure, sleep apnea, high cholestral and I had RNY on Monday. Sjogrens never came up as a reason and I take plaquenal for it. Check with another surgeon.
The reason for the conversion is to fix the Gerd and the hiatal hernia..he can't guarantee further weight loss. At least that is what my surgeon told me.

Every plan is different so really your first step is to understand what your coverage is and what those requirements are. Your insurance company should be able to tell you what their requirements are before you meet with a surgeon. For example, they may require a center of excellence be used, you should know that before you start or you could end up going through one process and then having to switch. I would call your insurance back and stay on the line until someone can walk you through what the plan requirements are -- also see if you have a nurse advocate with your plan or a benefits admin with your company that can help get you talking to the right person.
