BWAH-HA!!!  Yeh, that's usually one of their reasons for WANTING the lapband -- they don't want that rapid weight loss that results in the need for plastic surgery!

If it makes you feel better about your choice to bash the band, more power to you. I'm sure if I did some digging, I could find someone who had a negative complication due to DS.

Why not live and let live? There is more than one way to reach the same destination.

 

We strongly feel there is a lot of misinformation out there on the lap band. We will speak out about it if we can, sorry.

Honey, if it works well for you, congratulations, you will be in the minority.

I would not have made that choice if I, or my surgeon, did not feel that it was an effective weight loss tool.

Again, if you are happy with your DS, more power to you. I'm just as happy with my decision, but the difference is, I don't bash other surgeries or people who make a different choice than I do.

Gee, given that I had my surgery 3 weeks ago, are you suggesting that I should have all of my weight off at this point? Can the DS surgery do that, get 140 pounds off of a person in 3 weeks?

Honey, I had 30 lbs off in 4 weeks.  I probably could have done better but the damn cheesecake kept jumping on my plate.  bawahahaaaaaaaaaaa
