That's an incredible journey congratulations on the progress! It's inspiring to see how persistence and the right support can lead to such a transformation. Wishing you all the best as you continue your path to health and wellness!
You did a great job of proactively seeking an alternative. It was a wise decision to contact your original surgeon. I have been in a similar situation where I had to change surgeons at the last minute. It is important that you contact your insurance to ensure that the block blast pre-authorization is transferred.

Hi, all!
I used to come on here about 15 - 20 years ago. I wanted to let you know, for anyone still having issues deciding/complications afterwards, about how I am.
It was a slow process, but, after several orthopedic procedures which took precedence, that I lost about 180 pounds myself. It did not happen overnight, and I did have medication to help me.
My blood pressure is not an issue any more, and my A1C is in the 4.x range. I take vitamins, and I take medications for other issues.
I have about 20 pounds to go, but that is likely excess skin, for the most part. I have already had panniculectomy, brachioplasty, and breast reduction.
Have you ever been screened or tested for SIBO (small intestinal bacterial overgrowth)? I think it could be a less well-known underlying cause, and I'm wondering if I should proactively ask my doctor for this test if I have a similar condition.
Check labels for sweeteners that are sugar alcohols. Sorbitol and Xylitol are common but look for things that end in itol. Those sweeteners will cause gas and diarrhea. They are used in bariatric drinks and vitamins.

Real life begins where your comfort zone ends
Welcome back. There are many old timers still around.
my advice would be to not try a liquid diet. It's a short term action that will lead to the weight gain plus if no other changes are made.
I believe in going back to the basics. What worked for you after the surgery can still work now. Water weight a lot of times is also referred to as inflammation. Inflammation can be caused by eating unhealthy foods. Go back to eating whole natural foods. I personally follow a carnivore way of life and I suffer from ZERO inflammation after years of it. Intermittent fasting also helps tremendously.
At this stage, try something that is sustainable and a liquid diet never is. Just my 2 cents. Good luck and keep us posted.
Don't mess around with heart pain. Go to a doctor and get checked out. While you are there ask the doctor to order lab work. Many deficiencies can cause or worsen heart issues. Hope you get feeling better.

Whenever I have horrendous gas it is usually due to Small Intestine Bacteria Overgrowth (SIBO). SIBO is a common problem due to malabsorbtion. I usually have to visit my gastro Dr. for a round of Difulcan which calms it down for a period of time. Hope it gets better for you. Best wishes.

Hi! I am having a hard time searching the forums it keeps giving me a server error otherwise I would just be searching for the answers. I am 15 years out and have recently been dealing with accidents and bad gas more than normal. Nothing in my diet has changed and I remember someone posting about something they got prescribed to help kind of reset their system? I'm eating clean and taking probiotics but I just need to get the accidents under control and would like to stop being a weapon with the gas ? if anyone could share the links to some posts for me? I don't remember if it was an antifungal medication or an actual anti biotic? I really appreciate your help in advance! ?
