Topic: Healing from plastic surgery

I've had a couple procedures done, with the plan to do a couple more.

Thing is, I'm healing very slowly from them. They did a breast augmentation and six months later I'm still sore and in pain in that area. My plastic surgeon seems unconcerned; is it normal for this stuff to take a lot longer to heal than other people? Usually at this point other patients are 100% healed.

Patty pretty much said it.

The only thing that will hinder you is you. I powerlift and do HIIT. My surgery makes no difference other than must eat more protein.

After you recover from surgery you should be able to do anything. Well, at least anything you could do before you had surgery.

Topic: What about exercise?

Hello everyone! I am

new here, planning for DS in the upcoming monrhs. I am well informed but have questions about exercise. Considering malabsorption and the extent of weight loss, are you able to work out? (Lift weights, run, etc.) thank you all in advance!

I’m 11 years out, acid reflux has been terrible last couple months and I’ve been on Omeprosol for years. In the past weeks I’ve been feeling worse around
Duodenum area. I had an endoscopy a year ago and they saw issues with start of Barrettes esophaguses . Anyone have issues similar and what do you take or do medically or homeopathic

exactly, you think correctly! But it is better to consult a doctor.

Topic: Is Viokase available in the US again?

Early in my DS journey, I was prescribed Viokase, then switched to Creon when Viokase became unavailable in the United States.

I really prefer Viokase because it a compressed caplet, not a time-release capsule like Creon.

It just works better for me, because it dissolves more completely.

Anyone?

Topic: RE: Sleeve revision to DS

My Experience is almost identical.

Sleeve was done in feb 2013 at the time I was 400lbs - went down to 245. 5 years later I was at 299 - had the DS in August of 2018 - Goal weight was 200 and current weight is now 190 - but I cannot stop losing no matter how hard I try.

1- with the DS, your bowel movement changes a lot - I didn't think it was a big deal before the surgery, but it is life-altering for me. EXACTLY how I feel

2- I need to consider what type of food to eat before I go out and I need to go out, would I be comfortable using the washroom if I have to - the odour is awful and the frequency could be a lot. I CAN do NOTHING with DAIRY. I soooo love cheese and milk products. but the instant I swallow anything dairy I Bloat to painful proportions and then the hours of flatulence is unreal. It is almost as if it causes my intestine to become inflamed and swell near shut, because the passing of the gas is painful and needs forced out to relieve the pressure on my stomach.

So yeah - no ice-cream, cheese of any sort, or milk products.

Taking of Vitamins is easy peasy and nothing to it. It becomes a daily routine.

I do find that now 2 years out the emergency bathroom runs are not as bad. but I still wont go out in public without know where the nearest bathroom is and how long it will take me to get there. Some events I simply avoid.

It's a hard decision for sure, but It cured me of type 2 diabetes, sleep apnea, fatty liver disease... So no icecream and cheese but a prolonged life..

I'm not sure. I'm still in the research phase. But when I find out, I'll post it.
