Sat Race Report

Congrats on finishing!!! What a major accomplishment!  However, why a 2 mile run in the morning??  You really probably shouldn't do any running for about a week, they even recommend the pros take several days off after a marathon.  You don't want to risk injury on a tired body and not be able to do your next race.  :)

Awesome and Inspirational Jeff! What a great anniversary gift!
Hope the rest of your Saturday was just as spectacular!
Every morning in Africa, a gazelle wakes up.

It knows that it must run faster than the slowest gazelle, or it will starve.
It doesn't matter whether you're a lion or a gazelle
when the sun comes up you'd better be running.

Congratulations Jeff!  That internal drive of yours is going to give Dan a run for his money!

Good job Jeff. That is a good report and a nice time. I finished my two goofy's at around 265 and there is no way to get around the fact that it sucks doing those long races so heavy. I can't wait to see what the future holds for you! After stripping off thoes extra pounds, I see a Boston qualifier in the future.

Way to go Jeff.

Congrats on the success.

I'm looking forward to the smack talk between you and Dan.

Good luck on the next race and those final pounds you are losing.

The first time you do something - It's going to be a personal record!

Wow Jeff that's amazing you should be so damn proud..............another 100 lbs you will be flying, if you really think that's what you need to weigh??  That's pretty light for a guy!  But I don't know your stats of course.  I think it's freaking amazing.............a marathon.  I'm dreading my half right now because of injury after injury..............so frustrating you and everyone else continue to give me hope.  Somehow I will make this happen.  :-)

Congrats.............I'll be watching for you to kill guys in your age group.

Hey thanks for the kind words and I absolutely plan on crushing times when I get all this flipping weight off. It's amazing, I've been racing triathlon for a year and a half now and after Saturday's run I really caught a glimps of how competitive I could be after all this weight is stripped off. I walked less than .75 of a mile the entire race, my legs are almost 85% back to normal and I feel terrific.

I have to say switching to the Thrive Diet, my body is just turning and burning the fuel I give it for the first time in a long time. I'm so stoked to see what the future holds and wish I had a FFWD button for the next six months to just get past it.

Yea, 165 is my goal or 10% body fat whichever is better. I am very small framed so even at 270 I am still almost 50% body fat. So the road to the 100 lost is there but it for sure won't take me long. Good luck on your half coming up.
