Every Pregnancy is different. With twins you are going to gain more. I would say keep your intake at a point you can handle... unless the babies are suffering... then up your intake. I had to eat every 2 hours with my pregnancies.

With my daughter's pregnancy I gained a total of 10lbs. My son however in the last month I gained 20lbs.

I lost all my baby weight and more after I had them. Good Luck.

Hey y'all,

had the gastric bypass on August 14th 2012 and I know that this is something silly to be worried about but I worry about gaining to much weight with this pregnancy. I went from 411 to 256(PP) . I went to the dr yesterday and I am at 269. I know that I am going to gain more because of having twins but is some of it in my head? Head hunger? I have also quit drinking my protein shake as I was told that I can no longer supplement a meal with them but I can drink them in between for a snack. Does anyone have any advise? I am not looking to be bashed on or told that I am stupid for not waiting. I am simply look for advice. How many calories should I be aiming for each day? .

- Ohh I will add that the dr said that with twins I should gain 40 to 50lbs and has not said anything about my weight.

Do you struggle with head hunger and sometimes emotionally eat to manage your emotions?  Do you want to get back on track?

In an article written by good friend of ObesityHelp, Mary Jo Rapini, LPC, she shared a great list on 54 ways to manage your feelings before the next bite.  It is a good checklist to save and print out.

We had our two month check up and first round of vaccines for Alia today. She is doing well developmentally and is up to 12 lbs from birth weight ofm7 lbs 13 oz. we are still exclusively breast feeding and it is going great . She is a wonderful baby and sleeps well too which is polar opposite of her big brother. I am back to my pre pregnancy weight and will go back to work at the end of this month. I am in the last few days of Ramadan and am happy to say that even with the month of fasting I have been able to keep my milk supply up and have only had to dip into my storage supply that I stashed up ahead of time twice . My mother in law decided to extend her stay here from Morocco for two more months to help out more which is fantastic news. She has been here since April and was set to head back next week. As luck would have it we close on our new home and move Aug 20 th and then the following week I am back to work and Emad starts Kindergarten on the same day so a lot going on and to adjust to . Now this gives me help to move and adjust to work and two kiddos plus kinder and daycare, etc not to mention I have school coming up as well to finish my graduate degree. Otherwise I am loving my time off and ready to move to our new home and get settled and decorated. Will share pics soon as am on the ipad right now

Hey there....

All your anxiety is totally normal. I got pregnant with my daughter just 4 months after plastics whi*****luded a TT. I had lots of pain and tightness but nothing too extreme . I was worried she would not have room to grow but she was fine and I carried to 39 weeks and she was born at 7 lbs 13 oz which was more than her brother weighed when I had him....also post surgery but before plastics. I am now almost 9 weeks post delivery and back to per pregnancy weight and my stomach is almost as flat as it was before. I plan to get back to gym soon for toning and I do feel tight and pulling in my ab area which I think is the muscles going back. Also you may not show much....I am 5 ft 9 and weighed 163 before pregnancy and gained 40 lbs but never got a huge belly . With my son it was same but more due to the excess stretched skin I think and with daughter the opposite .

Always good to double check...always makes me feel better after!  Glad it went good for you!  I had an NST at 34 weeks!  Went ok...baby didn't want to wake up...so (knowing all along I would have one just a matter of when) had an ultrasound last Wed. ...baby did awesome...except wouldnt give us good pictures!  Did everything it was supposed to and everything looked great!  Big relief since we were worried about a couple of things!  Baby had been breech but finally flipped (yeah) but facing the wrong direction!  Couldn't confirm gender (think its a boy) but was cross legged and a bunch of cord in the way and around the legs!  Also couldn't get a good picture of the face the way he was turned!  Oh well...still nice to know he is happy and healthy in there!  Just the last day or so baby has dropped...there again...doesn't mean much!  Hoping I make it to at least 39 weeks or so!

So glad you got the peace of mind!  When in doubt...always call...they are so used to that and I think they feel better too!  :)

This is actually my second pregnancy since surgery, so it isn't even on their radar anymore.  With my first I was 6 months post op and had nothing special relating to my surgery as far as my care or diet instructions.  It was a very easy, uneventful pregnancy.

I am also 37 weeks and am having a lot of the same things happening!  I have really bad back pain and at times pain in the front...like stop in your tracks pain!  I wouldn't say you are "in labor" but your body is preparing for labor...doesn't mean it will happen now or today or even these next few weeks.,.if in doubt though...go to the ER and get checked or call your Dr.

With my first, I KNEW when my water broke...there was no mistaking it for him!!  Everyone is different though...did they check you at all at your last appt?  I was 1 cm and 50% effaced on Wed.  My Dr. Didn't think I would go into labor this week...but you never know!  You might want to call and just ask about it!  Good Luck!
