How often do you take the 50,000 IU of Vit D? That is the prescription strength.....
I am 5'9" so I am tall. But when I was pregnant people didn't know till I was well into my 7th month. And I was only 150 lbs at the time. So I don't know where I was hiding the baby. I joked that I had her neatly folded in my uterus to maximize space (like when you are packing for vacation)...LOL!!! I thought it was great. I never had trouble getting up from a chair, never had back problems, I never waddled...it really was great. I was never uncomfortable. My belly never got huge. At 9 months I was not that big at all and I was able to bend over, shave my legs, sit on the floor...do whatever I did before. No problems
Seriously though I was only 15 when I got pregnant and my mom saw me at 6 1/2 months and had no idea that I was pregnant. I wore my regular clothes though till my 3rd trimester. I figured it was because I was tall.
By the way my daughter was 7.5 lbs and 21 inches long and perfectly healthy. She is now 26 years old and is still my little girl.
I don't look almost 37 weeks pregnant so your not alone I posted my pictures earlier today yes I look pregnant but most people think I am only five or six months along not nine
50th percentile is right in the middle, so that means she's not really too big or too small at this point. And, I think all babies like to put their hands in their face, lol. I got my 3D ultrasound a couple weeks ago and mine was more than happy to block most views. This is my first girl, but I think she's going to be a handful just based on how different this pregnancy was from the one with my son.
I am 10 years post-op RNY and I am currently 33 weeks pregnant with my first child. I don't look like I am 33 weeks pregnant and I just wanted to know if anyone else experienced not looking as pregnant as they were. I see other woman who are as far along as I am and they look pregnant. I just want a healthy baby but sometimes can't help but wish I looked more pregnant. I just hope that I am not the only one who has felt this way after having WLS and then getting pregnant.
its a little fuzzy but thought I would share it is getting close can't wait for my little guy to get here
I did not switch to pre-natal vitamins as my RNY vitamins had enough folic acid in them.
here is my vitamin schedule from my surgeon for rny patients
Breakfast Bariatric advantage multi vit and calcium (500mg)
Lunch b12 and 2 iron (had to double the iron during pg)
Afternoon multi vit and calcium
evening calcium
I'm also on monthly Iron Infusions....

first off, congrats on the pregnancy!!! how exciting!!! please don't worry this group is nothing but supportive. we would never critisize you. its clear you care very much about your growing bean. and thats awesome. also, i don't think anything about what you said was anything to critsize.
as far as vitamins, i had gastric sleeve so i'm not sure about RNY vitamins. but i will tell you my reproductive endocrinologist put me on women's one a day prenatals bc of the DHA. now if you have low iron from before its even more important when you're pregnant. i had to double my iron. you probably need to as well. also, my RE also put me on vitamin d. he says all women of chilbearing age should be taking vitamin D. so you probably wanna take that. i also take b12 but i don't know if you need to take that. i know for the sleeve we do. but i would say that the most important thing you take other than prenatal is iron. double the iron. super important. anyway good luck sweetie!! we're here for you!
