My blood pressure pre pregancy (post wls) runs between 90/50-106/60. During pregnancy it was running around 110/70 the entire time, after birth it was back down to 90/50 the first couple of days--I had a c-section and by the time I left the hospital it was running 120/66--but about 10 days post op it went up to 120/78 and at my 2 week check up it was 140/90 at OB office-- I have been watching it for the past week--and at home it has gone up to 134/88 consistently--went in to OB today (3 weeks 1 day past delivery) and it was up to 152/94 so I am now on aldomet twice a day--just wondering if anyone else has experience with this and how long it lasted.
You look great!! And I'm impressed with your speed of posting! He's very handsome!

You should also check with the airlines. There are restrictions on flying with a newborn too. My doc said no flights until 3 months.
I was on Levimir and Novolog. I am extremely carb sensitive. I didn't have any problems on the pen. My water broke at 36 weeks and my baby was 6.2. She had to stay in the nursery and be fed a bottle because her blood sugar was low. Other than that no other complications from the meds or diabetes. She is 3 months old now and healthy! It sucks but what else can you do? Take care and congratulations on your pregnancy.

I agree with the other ladies. Also, felt I would also comment on the ear drums thing....my cousin is deaf due to him flying when he was a small infant. I don't know how young he was when they traveled over seas but it did cause perment damage. I did travel with my newborn to see my family (from PA to AR) when my daughter was 2wks old but by car and she did fine and pediatrician was okay with the trip.

Good luck with the VBAC! I had one 18 months ago and everything went great. We had a deadline too because you don't want to induce with a VBAC due to the increased risks. I had an appointment at noon on my due date where we were going to discuss our options. My baby was born at 11:20 that morning. Hope your lil one gets out in time too!
