Claire~ Are you nuts?? lol! A one week old really only sleeps, nurses, and poops. So I am sure it can be done. If you had easy deliveries with the L's than hopefully this little boy will be an easy one too. I know after my 2nd I was sore as shiz and swollen like no other! I would be worried about sickness and germs around the baby. I have 3 girls now and i am always tired so I would say stay home let the L's go to Gma's and you and that little boy get some sleep!!!

I know how badly you want to go...I would too...but honestly, I wouldn't.  I wouldn't expose a baby that young to all the germs you encounter on an airplane, in a hotel room, at a wedding.

Congrats on the newbie...I remember you from way back when and you just had the one.  Now you're having your third and my LO is 3.

Topic: Traveling with a Newborn?

Hi mommas,

I'm super old around here ... 10years out, baby #3, and with this pregnancy I've lurked a lot but haven't posted in a looong time. Baby J is due any minute, I"m dialating and effaced and all that good stuff. SO, my money's on this week.

Now, here's the deal. DH's BFF of thirty years is getting married on May 25th in Vegas. He is in the wedding. FLights are booked and non smoking suite is secured. Am I insane to think that I can travel with Babe if he's a week old? My two others could stay with gramma - no problem. We love this couple dearly, they are such good friends, but I am not sure if I am thinking clearly. It may just be that I am being super selfish and need someone to smack me out of it. I know you all will be honest. lol

Thoughts?

Topic: posted in the past and a luker

I have posted a few times in the past. My spouse and I are trying to have a baby. We are using donor sperm, we have finally found the guy that we really like as the donor. We went for our first IUI in February, it was very painful and they say you can spot for a couple of house but I was more than spotting for a few days. I went in to the doctor had a check up and blood work done and they couldnt find a reason to why that happened. I did take a pg test and it was negative, granted I knew in my head that it wasnt going to be positive but deep down I still had slit hope.

Next cycle i was put on clomid 50mg at CD10 ultrasound eggs were good size and there was a few of them there but they did find a pylop in my uterus, so needless to say IUI #2 canceled. Last month I had the removal of the pylop and given the go ahead for the next cycle with an increased dose of clomid to 100mg. I have by cd10 ultrasound this Sunday to check egg size I am keeping fingers crossed that things look great. I am hoping to go for my IUI end of next week or over the that weekend.

I have always lurked and seen that you ladies here are very supportive and looking forward to sharing stories :)

Sorry to hear that AF arrived I get that feeling. I had my IUI #1 in February neg for me as well, started clomid then at the ultrasound to check egg size they found a pylop in my uterus so IUI #2 was canceled had to have surgery to remove it. Wishing you luck on your next try. :)

Topic: RE: IUI..... and a moment of pure Panic

I totally understand the feeling. I am using Donor sperm and the vial had my name DOB but the wrong last four of the SSN. I freaked a little I picked the donor that I feel is perfect for us and then I got that panic if there was a possible mix up. I made sure that the problems that run in my family weren't in the donor family to protect the baby. But I figured no matter what I was going to be okay.

IUI #1 didn't take for us, I ended up having a little bit of problems but getting ready for IUI #2 end of this month.

Good Luck to you

Congrats to you and your family and welcome to baby Jeryn! Based off of the delivery time I am going to guess that you did not have to have a c-section but will wait for the "baby story" for all the details!
