Topic: What are some of the nutritional modifications with pregnancy?
I had VSG in March 2013. I'm still in losing mode. Just found out I am roughly 5 weeks pregnant. And of course I have a lapse in medical coverage until Feb 1. I'm trying to maintain vs lose...Although I'm still losing, just much slower. During your pregnancy, what were some of the nutritional changes made for you and any vitamins/mineral changes?

Hi Melanie,

Sorry, would you mind requesting me to be added to the group again? I received an email with a link to the group, but I had to be approved. I did request to be added, but I haven't been accepted yet.

Thanks!

And I am MISERABLE! Started having contractions on Christmas day and have continued to have them off and on all week since. I'm tired of the waiting and guessing game. I'm tired of being pregnant. This little girl needs to get this show on the road already.

I had issues and had to do IUI to get pregnant. It worked first time though as I'm 10w2d preggo! Just a couple more weeks until I can tell the world!

Thanks for replying, sometimes it seems I didn't even have gastric bypass since somedays i can consume food non stop- not everything is fattening that I eat but I am snacking way more now that I am pregnant and am hoping that I am not sabatoging all my hard work. I sometimes feel like i can not control myself and i do not want to diet obviously being pregnant

Topic: RE: 5 weeks Pregnant

I am 33 weeks with first pregnancy. I am also 19 mos post op. My weight was stable for three mos when doctor let me conceive at one year out. Since then i have only fluctuated btw 3 lbs and will lose it/gain it week to week. According to the high-risk clinic, baby is on track in growth/development so he must be taking everything from me. Im curious whether after giving birth , i may in https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10151776959366722&set=a.10150307536376722.331374.7210086721&type=1fact be lower than this weight . I eat like a horse some days and others I don't have an appetite .... Sooo weird! I don't really know when the weight will start packing on( not sure  it will) and that causes me concern in its own way. Anywho, take care

I'm one of those who have an issue staying NOT pregnant after my WLS. Got pregnant with my first post-op baby 5 months after my RNY and got pregnant again when he was 5 months old. I know many of the girls in the FB ttc group and they are great! Sending lots of baby dust and best wishes for a healthy pregnancy your way!

Congrats on the successful pregnancy! I have the clearblue fertility monitor but it didn't work for me in the past. I might need to dig it out and give it a try again!
