Welcome! I starting posting on this thread, the day I came home from the hospital. Accountability and a support group is important at every stage...

How are you feeling?

I agree support is very important at this stage because it's so much going on.... I had gastric sleeve 7 1/2 years ago but just did a revision a week ago because of Gerd.... I forgot how painful this process is. However I'm happy to not to be suffering from gerd....My surgeon also repaired a hiatal hernia as well so I feel like the pain is different.

I had a revision from the band with a bonus hernia revision.... GERD wasn't my only problem with the band, but it was a big one. It still comes and goes with little flare ups here and there, but I am a zillion times healthier without that band and I am so happy I revised. I hope things go well for you, too.

Don't forget this honeymoon period in your first year is the only time that weight loss is going to come easily, so use it to its full advantage!

Yes I remember the beautiful honeymoon stage,My surgeon already told me that my lost womt be as dramatic I lost a 130 pounds and kept it off for the entire time. I'm okay with another 50-70 pounds of I just wanted relief from waking up coughing up acid or constantly taking pills to keep it at bay....If it wasnt for my incision pain I feel like I didnt have surgery that's how good I feel but I'm still taking it easy.

You weight loss may be slower, but how much total you can lose is totally up to you.

I'm almost 12 years post op but when I regained, going back to basics, and be really dedicated long term allowed me to lose whole planned regain and 10 more lbs.

Theoretically, for my body frame, I should not lose below 150 lbs. I am currently at around 140 lbs. At least 5 lbs away from when I should be at my lowest. (I had an oral surgery and there was 2 weeks I barely could eat anything and the weight just dropped a few pounds)

Late to post as usual.

QOTD: microwave ovens and color TV

Took Magnesium last night and didn't wake up until 4:00 a.m. Keeping fingers crossed it continues to work.

Sunday I fixed a scrambled egg, cheese and bacon, thought it was delicious. Made the same thing today and could hardly get it down. Tossed out some of the bacon. After nearly 12 years I would think the weird appetite would have ended. Many foods I really like then suddenly I don't like the taste.

Eats today:

scrambled egg, cheese, bacon

Click shake

Round steak, 1/2 small potato, zuchinni

Greek yogurt, blueberry sauce, granola

Grapes

Fairlife Core Power protein
