Nice photo Amy!!!
Good morning, I too was up before the sun. For no reason. I'm sitting in the sunlight that is coming from the sunrise and it's one of my favorite things to do. Sunlight really can change my frame of mind.
Accountability for yesterday. A total win on food and water. Not so great on limiting wine at the party last night. It's not that I drink a ton, it's that I don't process it well and should really stop at one glass. Another goal to add to my list of things to master. Move calories 861!!! Exercise minutes 169 and 10,679 steps. Proud of that effort. I got several things done around the house and got some reading done. Nice day for me.
Today we are just hanging out until we join the Grands for Trunk or Treating at the softball fields at 6. I am freezer diving to make it to Monday because I need to clean out stuff again. Also hoping Rog finishes putting together my new desk so I can set up an art station. Amy, Rob would LOSE HIS MIND over these instruction!
QoTD: Jim once said to me "people who are struggling with snacking may just really need to add another meal into their day". And that really resonates with me. So I plan them in and they are healthy. I very rarely snack just to snack. I am usually driven by hunger into the kitchen. Keeping good options on hand helps. But I also keep things I consider a treat for the rare times I'm looking for sweet.
Bites today
B: egg and bacon on 1 slice protein bread
L: leftover beef roast
D: Chicken breast and mashed potatoes with gravy
Peace!

Good morning ~ Yay for the weekend! I can't sleep in ever due to Bubs - but I love him dearly. We are on the couch just chilling together now. After almost losing him a few months ago, he sure has come around and I'd do anything for him. Yesterday was fabulous - I got my hair done and all is right with the world again! It took 4.5 hours which is average for me. I'm dying by the end and really want to leave with wet hair, but the blow out is the finale and best part. Afterwards I went grocery shopping and home for the sad Dodgers game, then we watched Salem's Lot. It was gruesome! Now we have to watch the original campy version again tonight, It'll be comical compared. Today we are taking Chloe on a mini hike, I have things to do around the house, some errands to run, grilling tonight and I'd love nice nap too.
QOTD - Snacking - When is your worst time? Do you avoid snacking - can you simply abstain or is it a white-knuckle situation? Do you have a plan? Even though I'm more of a meal person, I love a snack and need a snack option. After trying to abstain from snacks for years, I would give in and sometimes and blow it. Snacks happens and now I plan for them so I'll stay on track. It's nice to know I have options that I look forward to and satisfy me so I can stay on track. It's mostly protein snacks and fruit which is a treat for me.
Accountability - Swapped lunch for popcorn and jerky, I got 31 active minutes and 6,190 steps and that is with treadmill even. Today I am 167.4, 30 minutes on treadmill after this and a mini hike later.
B coffee, eggbeater and cheese wrap
l - ham and cheese on protein bread
d- filet mignon, 1/2 baked potato w/greek yogurt
s- quest chips, watermelon, apple, tomatoes
Have a great day!

. So what ?!!! I?m a COMPETITIVE grrrl !
I hit the treadmill after yoga and spin class on Fridays, after Zumba and circuit weights on Tuesdays and before circuit weights on Thursdays.
No it does not count steps, it has a spin class mode that captures calories burned. I "rode" 12.5 miles this morning, got my heart rate up to 156 and burned 296 active calories.
You do treadmill after you do a spin class? No wonder your legs are fatigued. Does Apple watch count the steps in spin class. That might count more than any other cardio.

I was pre- diabetic with a history of type 2 going back generations on my mom's side. That would have been me for sure. I'm hoping I caught in time like you say. My A1C is 4.3 right now!

I guess he has no sympathy for people who drive a Telsa and own Hamptons property and don't pay the rent on their apartment. I am sure you will find a lawyer who will figure out how to beat the system.

Real life begins where your comfort zone ends
Good morning! Here for the accountability. Home from the gym and seriously could take a nap. But I have a few things to attend to first. Posting here is one of them.
I did really well with food picks yesterday. Lots of water. 518 move calories, 93 minutes of exercise, 11,129 steps. 91 grams of protein.
Today I think it will be challenging to hit my step goal. I bailed out after 30 minutes on the treadmill because my legs were so fatigued from spin class. I am going to need to really step with intention today to get in another 5K steps. I'm changing out the bedding from summer to winter and have a neighborhood girls night tonight while our mates play poker. Should be great fun.
QoTD: I am pretty pleased with how it all played out. While I never loved my weight, I wasn't too distressed by it until the last 5 years when menopause and a total hysterectomy pushed me to all time highs at weight. At 200 pounds and 5'3, I was miserable. I am closing in on 5 years post surgery and I have learned lots. It's always work. But, choose your hard, right?
Bites today
B: leftover porkchop and winter hash
L: 1 slice protein bread, 1 slice cheese, rotisserie chicken all toasted up and melty, pop chips
3ish: greek yogurt with jello pudding mix
D: TBD. At the neighbors. Could be a real mine trap for me.
9ish: single serving bag of beef jerky if needed
Photos today are my boys, a photo from a walk, and last night's Hunter's moon.
Peace!

QOTD- I wish I had done it in my 30's then I wouldn't have so much excess hanging skin. I don't ever regret it.
I got my ballot in the mail yesterday and I am mailing it off today. My Mom called last night and I went over all of the ballot measures with her and she will probably mail hers out today too. This is one thing I won't procrastinate about. I'm also going to make sure my roommate votes if for president if nothing else. Oregon is an all mail election state we have been for over 20 years. You have to sign the back of the ballot and they compare it to the signature that is on file. So no way to cheat unless you force someone to sign it. I can't wait until this election is over.
My roommate hit his leg at work and now has an infection, he is diabetic so easily gets infections and it takes forever to heal and sometimes needs IV antibiotics to kick it. He had to fill out the workmans comp info so not sure what is going on, but he is home today. I'll talk to him when he wakes up.
I'm going to button up my patio set and umbrella for the season. It is supposed to not rain tomorrow and that should give me the time to cover it and put the umbrella in the shed. And my clothes line will go in the shed as well. Other than that no plans, if it is nice I'll try to get a walk in. Sunday is football, and I need to spend some time on my computer to figure out how to get music onto my phone, and move my backup onto the computer rather than one drive. I don't trust any remote drives or clouds.
I need to get back to work.
Have a great day everyone!
