Good afternoon Menuers !
Im sitting in Starbux eating a prepared salad ( why do peeple imagine Kale is a substitute for Lettuce these days ? 
)
To me it tastes bitter uncooked or even cooked wrongly ..and it gives me gas 
.
b - 6 buck special from Dunkin Donuts - coffee, 1/2 egg bacon sammy on English muffin and potato nuggets w ketchup .
s- bun w hummus n scallions candied ginger and 1/2 payday bar
d- probably cold linguine w red clam sauce enhanced w freeze dried butter and fre****alian herbs
kosher health salad ( shredded cabbage n carrots in vinegar water n sugar )
shrimps ( cold ) w ****tail sauce
maybe vegetable and chicken turmeric farro sippable soups if I can find a microwave 2 warm them up :)
exercise - mainly tearing whats left of my hair out cuz phone doesnt work and Im wasting the day grrr.
I actually got the vast majority of an apartment application sent - only two years of complete 40 page tax returns need further forwarding .
After this I can probably copy all the other applications 
Gonna stay here tonite - enjoy the gym, sauna, endless hot shower and real ( half inflated air ) bed 
( but whos quibbling - beats sitting up in a car Every time ! )
It felt AMAZING 2 wake up this morning snug as a bug in a rug ( or a fluffy kitty curled up in a furry clean doggie bed ! ) Im looking forward to sleeping horizontally tonite too :) 
jes wish I had a space heater and microwave working ... its getting COLD !
Happy Friday at 9:30 PM - finally the end of my workday!
Toured a four building complex by the water in the South Bronx . I liked all the apartments I saw for various reasons - an expensive one bedroom has a great view and OK ish terrace size - two two beds are OK but not the best view wise and one eighth floor 2 bed has TWO big terraces but no view . 
All these apartments have access to a SAL****er heated indoor pool !!!! ( as do the almost three thousand other residents -958 apartments total ! ) Giant amount of amenities - working , lounging spaces, gardens etc . Theres also a long landscaped riverfront park that belongs to the buildings no trash trucks all nite ... and much better air than the one I fell in love with and was rejected from 
Applying for the one in Inwood , and also reapplying for the corner terraced 3 bed in South Harlem w no amenities.
Trying super hard to reapply for THE FAVORITE ... did a preliminary deposit then idiot real estate agent doesnt send me the complete application all afternoon 
- doesnt she want a $5000 commission for nothing more than sending an email ?!
These NYC real estate agents are SO spoiled ...never return phone calls , fail to show up for scheduled viewings w/ out notification - and worst yet most NEVER ever pick up their ringing phone ... 
Had a big pouch day today - lets see if I can remember everything I ate - 1/2 payday bar , sf ff coffee latte , 1/2 pint roasted vegetable soup from Pret - 1/2 egg salad sandwich w arugula on ww bread ( ate other half w/out crusts late last nite) bites of chicken salad sandwich on ww bread , 1/2 big banana 1/2 container ff sf yogurt ...1/2 container Pret white chili soup. 
So happy to sleep in an actual bed tonite ! 
Tomorrow morning filling out applications and scanning in supporting documents in library ... then mebbe heading into town to see a few more apts if I receive confirmation first from gosh darn agentz ... drove 4 hours round trip the other day only to have agent not show up grrrr

Same one of course that hasnt forwarded the application after I sent her proof of initial deposit Are these people whacked or what ?!
Mel you're right Republicans are no better. I really wish we could get rid of both parties they don't care about us only about what they want.
I hear ya on the evaluations of the houses. Ours got reevaluated last October and it went up by $137,000 making our house taxes shoot up another $1000. It all just sucks the life out you. I work to pay taxes basically.

Happy Friday Gang!!! Today should be a quiet day at work. The plant manager is took a vacation day. I might see if I can get out a little earlier. I called and we have Frontier fiber internet coming out tomorrow morning to install it. I'm tired of Breezeline having unexpected outages and being without internet for over 24 hours. Not sure what other plans there are for the weekend.
Where is everyone? We had a nice group of people now there are only a few that post. If you're a lurker start posting and join us.
QOTD: If you had to choose would you rather have a personal chef or personal trainer? I'm going to go with personal trainer just because I like to cook and I don't trust other people with my food. LOL

as for the taxes...republicans don't exactly do the right things either. They like to preach about low taxes but they hike up the evaluations of value to up the taxes they do get. They valued our house way way more than it's worth. I would rather live in a state where they take care of things. Texas's "leadership" is a joke and they are almost 100% republican.
Neither party's is great but I'd love to live somewhere where I have all the rights I deserve as a woman and people are free to be who they are.

Please bite / drink whatever U can whenever U can so U dont get debilitated and possibly bed or relax-chair bound .
Iron and vitamin supplements r important too to retain Ur healthy energy level ... and 2 make Ur shrinking skin firm n youthful.
I actually found an apartment I liked on the very Northern tip of Manhattan, Inwood .
Big terrace , decent sized rooms w floor 2 ceiling windows including a corner ..nice finishes , waterview .
I want the terrace next door too dont know if landlord will agree to that for a bit more munny . But its definitely a possibility

Yikes, dealing with squatters sounds awful. I never put much into our outside decorations because we have so many drug gangs in Spokane that either steal for reselling or just fun, I guess. Haven't heard of much squatting going on here, maybe in the lower income parts of town sadly.
Still wishing the best for you on your apartment hunt and hoping you'll luck into your impossible find.
Good grief, that is really extreme to go after non-working vehicles for taxes. For all I know maybe Washington has been doing that for years already, they love to tax anything and everything here.
QOTD: I can't think of one anymore. In past I'd have said Montana but it has changed too much. And there are too many bugs in the nice, warm states plus their extreme weather woes. We're stuck here now because our kids are settled here and I want to be able to see the grandkids grow up.

D: Had to make myself try to finish the meat sauce spaghetti with Shiratake noodles from last night. Couldn't eat all of it then because it hurt my stomach. Still hurts today but I made myself eat it.
Last night even the protein bar and sf hot cocoa hurt so I measured a half cup of Chex again to eat dry before I had to take the evening pills. I think the constant antihistamine is part of the problem along with the coffee. Trying to clean up my habits like the coffee. Haven't had any nsaids in a few weeks and just toughing out the knee pain. Must plan food better, I'm only at 300 calories today, 39g protein, 18g carbs and 7 gr. fat.
NSV: For funsies I tried on a pair of white jeans that were a Costco clearance end of summer, size 14. I hoped maybe they'd fit by Spring but they fit now. Yay! Although my Gloria Vanderbilt jeans are a loose 16 and I can't even zip the 14's. What the heck?
The fun this week has been sewing again. No new garments yet but I've downsized two tops, altered two pairs of pants, corrected a bad dart in a new Costco shirt (no woman is built with one facing up and one facing down, haha) and remodeled a sweater and a sweatshirt.
Awwww .
I had a similar situation ( but much smaller ) a few years ago when the Councilman and Town Deputy Supervisor who lives nearby ( who others have referred to as a Frenemy lol 
) asked whether my non working farm truck I had parked beside the home was registered and told me it had to be.
So I regretfully sold her for scrap .. and since then have struggled w squatters and thieves repeatedly removing my lawn ornaments grrr. Betsy was a great deterrent!
More seeing apts today and doctor... calendar is overappointmented as always.
I dont know how people manage their business AND hold down an actual job ...

I hate that my tiny pouch makes me such a ridiculously slow eater. I also hate eating in my car and taking food w me - threw out a BUNCH yesterday 
. Im ashamed because so many people dont have enough money to eat properly.
I need to start applying for apartments I dont WANT so I no longer fall between the cracks . Problem is I want the impossible - great air ( in NYC ! ) central location, a huge terrace, new fixtures and a waterview ...oh and free on street parking preferably and amenities like co working spaces, a rooftop garden gym and pool lol.
I guess Im the definition of impossible customer - and Im also not trying to pay a brokers fee ( last year I paid $18,000 to move into what turned to be a horrible apartment - no heat no central air and the leaking roof made my ceiling fall down ! )

Last nite - bits of Reuben sandwich ( just the meat, saurkraut , roll w pulled pork ( not fatty if you buy the right kind and throw away all light colored fatty bits before heating ) I like to include fresh herbs and sliced scallion and a bit of hot sauce too.
fat free milk w booze ( helps me nap in the car - a necessary evil since if I sleep in LI I dont get to the city till mid afternoon . )
Honestly thanks to Naltrexone my booze and wine cravings are gone and thanks probably to the Buproprion so is my appetite.
Im not a skinny- minnie but noone can call me plump either. Lost Id estimate around 10 lbs from walking around the City and strenuous gardening lol

Good Friday-eve gang. Very frustrated with the state of CT. Apparently, everything is subject to taxation even an antique tractor from the 30's that is only used as a lawn decoration with potted flowers. We got a letter from the town assessor stating that they were informed we had unregistered or out of state registered vehicles on the property. When I called to question the letter, I was told the blight officer reported to the assessor we have tractors, box truck bodies, bobcat, backhoe, and that none of our vehicles are registered in CT. That last part is a lie since all 4 of our vehicles have CT license plates and I get a motor vehicle tax bill every year.
The assessor said I have to send her a list of what we have. So even though the box truck bodies are used for storage and are on the ground they are to be taxed. The backhoe and bobcat that we have had for over 30 years are to be taxed. Literally every dam thing is to be taxed. I'm ready to move out of this Democratic run state and go to a Red state like West Virgina. Sorry for the rant I'm just stressed.
QOTD: If you could live in any US state which one would you pick? Me right now anyone that is not run by Democrats. I know people say Republicans are only out to help the rich, but when looking at the states that DO NOT have personal property taxes (which is 25 states) all but 6 of them are Republican run.
