Good morning, everybody! It's a jeans and sweater kind of day at work today. I got off to a tough start when my wife brought home my coffee and it was full of peppermint and sugar and I don't know what else. She was nice enough to bring it back and get a non-dumping coffee. But I had breakfast in the interim and now I am counting down the minutes until I can drink It.

Going to a neighborhood party tonight where I will be peppered with weight questions. Trying not to be a grinch though.

QOTD(1): Our office is shut down until January 2. I will have to work if clients need things, but it will be from home.

QOTD(2): Our daughter is home from college, but other than that most of our family is back in Massachusetts. Its too hard to travel before Christmas. We are going to Houston for a few days after Christmas to watch my daughter's college play in a Bowl game. Hopefully it will be warm.

Pictures are from Blackhawks practice last week.

Breakfast: Turkey sausage and cheese

Snack: Light and fit

Lunch: Steak at the Palm

Snack: Protein Bar

Dinner: Salmon

For the record, at the time I chose Santa Suit I was under the impression that it would be a bespoke Santa Suit created for the hypothetical challenge

Good morning, everybody. I like when Kelly declares Thursday to be Friday eve, it makes it seem like the weekend (vacation this week) is actually coming.

Accountability - I have actually been married 28 years, not the 27 that I said yesterday. Oops.

QOTD: Definitely the Santa Suit. Anything to keep warm, I was freezing back in October and now it actually is cold outside.

Breakfast: Turkey meatballs and cottage cheese

Snack: Light and Fit

Lunch: Work luncheon, should be protein forward

Snack: Protein bar

Dinner: Salmon

Have a great day, all.

Yes, I love the Mahi-Mahi burgers, I will have to try the tuna and salmon.

And thank you for the kind words. I hope to be joining you in fitness in 2019. For now, the Uric acid that was hanging out in my fat cells is having a protracted going away party, though. If that clears up or even stays the same by New Year's Day I will be going back into the pool to begin.

I bet we have all done the light clothes thing. I wore my lightest pants and short sleeved golf shirt to my first Bariatrics appointment even though it was January in Chicago. And then I was stuck wearing that to every other appointment (even my February appointment during a snowstorm) so that I didn't have to give back the extra pounds. Also, I always bring my briefcase to my appointments so I don't weigh keys, wallets, phone, etc.

Good morning, everybody. Today feels even more like the hump of the week then a normal Wednesday. Tomorrow is a training session and by Friday most of our clients will be starting their holiday festivities. So, I think that if today goes OK we can glide into the holiday break.

Breakfast: Turkey meatballs and cottage cheese

Snack: Light and Fit

Lunch: Work luncheon but it will be protein forward based on who ordered it

Good morning everybody. Kind of a mixed up day. Have an appointment in the morning and then an off-site meeting and then a doctor's appointment for my son back near where the first appointment was. So, a lot of driving around and paying for parking.

Is Elf on a shelf a new thing? Is it a midwest thing? Was I just out of touch growing up? I had never heard of Elf on a Shelf until about 10 years ago.

Great weekend. I could have used an extra day snuck in between Sunday and Monday so that I could catch up on many things. This week at work looks to start off with a roar. Hopefully it will slow down by midweek and cruise into the holidays.

QOTD: I am not finished with my shopping. More importantly, Marilyn is not finished with hers and she does the lion's share of the family's shopping. Hopefully my daughter will help her out since she is home from college this week.

Breakfast: Turkey meatballs and cottage cheese

Snack: Light and Fit

Thanks, Jen. My Baritrician does not set number goals, so it was kind of a SWAG on my part. I am definitely going to try and keep losing. One thing that I know for certain is that last time I weighed what I do now I had bigger legs and a smaller abdomen.

I am really amazed by the people on this board who can keep grinding for 18-24 months and also how low some can keep their daily calories.

Good morning, everybody. We are off to get our Christmas tree in a bit. We went last night but it was closed. Then I started getting cold and tired and it was a struggle (unsuccessful) to stay awake on the couch until 10:30. In any case I woke up a a normal time this mornings I must have needed the extra sleep.

I am behind in all areas of Christmas preparation. Usually when my in-laws come out for Thanksgiving they get us started on Christmas preparations, but they weren't up to it this year and we haven't caught up.

Breakfast: Turkey sausage and eggs

Lunch: Costco spinah salad

Snack: Protein bar

Dinner: Meatballs from sandwich at the hockey game.

Have a great day, all.

When he sang Rock and Roll Never forgets, he got to the place where the lyrics are "..sweet sixteen's turned 31..." and instead of 31 he sang 73 in a shocked voice. You could hear him groaning that he was that old.

Last night was a make-up from last year's tour that was cancelled because he was having back problems.

Good morning everybody. Cassie that party looks fun. Bob Seger was great last night. Night Moves, Turn the Page, Old Time Rock and Roll, Like a Rock, Hollywood Nights, all of hi****s. The opening band was Larkin Poe. They are two sisters from Georgia who play blues inspired rock. I hadn't heard of them, but they were good. The concert facility in the suburbs wasn't the advantage that i thought it would be. Between the concert, the shopping traffic, understaffed parking facilities and it being Friday night, traffic was a disaster. It would have been faster to go into the city.

Today we have a family picture. And we are way behind in almost all aspects of Christmas, so probably shopping tonight.

QOTD: I guess MFP. My phone is my work phones every time I pick it up I read my work emails. Hence, I don't really view it as an object of fun.

Breakfast: Ham and Gouda

Snack: Light and Fit

Lunch: Sou Vide egg bites

Snack: Protein bar

Dinner: Beef stew

We waited for this weekend and its finally here. Have a great day, all.

That is a good question. The first good news is that they feel much better today and yesterday. No crutches and no braces. The second good news is that the orthopedist said there isn't really structural damage to them. Why they are better now and worse before is what we are trying to find out. I am being moved from orthopedics to Rheumatology to try and figure it out.

Good morning everybody. Today should be a fun day for me. This morning I am going to Blackhawks practice. I have never been, it should be fun to see what they do. The team has struggled so badly on the ice that they are making every effort to keep the season ticket holders happy. Tonight, me and Marilyn are going to see Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band. I've never seen him play live and I understand that this is his last tour. The concert is in the suburbs, so no commute into the city. Should be a great day if the clients cooperate.

QOTD: I get these Frick's pre-sliced hams and take a few slices of those in a plastic bag for lunch or snack. They are small hams that can fit easily in the drawers of our refrigerator. I think they are about 2 pounds total.

Breakfast: Turkey meatballs and cottage cheese

Snack: Protein bar

Lunch: Work luncheon

Snack: Light and fit

Dinner: Beef stew
